Bad news for Crawley - the monkey drawings ain’t gonna pay the wages any longer.

Their NFTs have been worthless for months. None of the club's assets are in NFTs, or crypto. I'd suggest the club's accounts belatedly submitted today are of slightly more concern.

Mind you. Both parents were 5'4. I was bigger than both by the time I was 11. The family tradition is we are related to the German Giants who came to Sussex in the 8th century. Personally I look at the milkman and wonder.

I also look at that statement of accounts on companies house and wonder.

The nfts have been worth pennies for ages but we definitely need to get some revenue streams in.

Guess it all depends on how deep Wagmi’s pockets are and willingness to continue funding it! But there are no doubt many clubs like that.

A fair bit going on behind the scenes of late at Newport. Looks like ex-Swansea head honcho Huw Jenkins will be taking a controlling 52% share in the club, diluting trust ownership to 27%. Still lots to sort out but HJ has just been confirmed by the club as the primary bidder which the Trust membership will vote on next week. HJ seemed to do a decent job at Swansea but left under a cloud IIRC.
The existing trust model isn’t sustainable as we are losing £300-400k pa without cup runs / player sales.
Hopefully good times ahead.

Have a soft spot for the Swans from my days at Uni and a mate who was involved in their Trust. Jenkins sacked their most successful manager in recent times, Michael Laudrup for reasons which were never made clear. However, the main reason things turned sour was his involvement in the sale of the club to the Americans who have it now, considerably diluting any Trust involvement in the process. They have overseen relegation from the Prem and a struggle to stay in the Championship and were a bad choice, which tarnished Jenkins’ reputation with the fan base. Different situation at Newport and he’ll probably be ok.
