Tbf, he has slimmed down a lot. Heart attack waiting to happen otherwise.

Loved it when he lost his rag with our disappearing ballboys

He seems to have a thing for ball boys when we're away, we had the same episode up at Carlisle last season.

Ironically he was much slimmer at the start of the season and appears to have put it back on again.

On the frequent games where the quality/standard of football isn't the best his antics provide some respite. Though he's had a fair number of run-ins with some of our fans also.

He's clever at protecting the players though, and is good for their confidence. I don't think many expected us to return from Swindon with the 3 points after you gave us the run around at field mill earlier this season

We have been anything but hit and miss recently really, been one of the form teams for a few months.

Exactly my point. A lot more hit than miss. Our first loss since early December and were "hit and miss" all of a sudden :fl:

Does his wife know about this, or even the authorities?

Mrs Evans is actually a little beauty. You wouldn’t believe it. She definitely has to go on top.

5.30 pitch inspection for our game tonight. Hope the Barnet fans don't have a wasted journey.

Cheltenham for us tonight, who we have a terrible record against both home and away. I think we've beaten them once, and generally lost, against them in the 16 years or so I've been supporting Lincoln.

No Vickers and no Wilson now either, who went off against Cambridge. Luckily no break on his ankle but severe ligament damage and if that's the case, that'll be a season ending injury I imagine.

Won there a few times but like you say only one win for us at home in October 2000, Julian bloody Alsop won't be playing against us tonight at least, always bloody scored us!

The cup game from 98/99 aside, I don't recall us losing to Lincoln since.

Always quite liked Lincoln, for no real reason. Only been to Sincil Bank once and found it friendly enough (05/06) and I've definitely seen us ride our luck against them at Whaddon Road on more than one occasion. Full credit to a large number of their fans who stayed behind to watch the trophy presentation in the Conference season two years ago.

As for this evening, we're so hit and miss I genuinely don't want to call it. Lincoln should be red hot favourites though.

4-0 after 33 minutes.

I think the Swindon loss pissed us off.

Glad we didn’t start a specific thread. 2–0 at the break could have been 4-1 including an almost comedy own goal from Brown.

Better from Notts

Still only team in FL not to be awarded a pen after Hollis hacked down two footed from behind. Ref all over the shop by sounds of it for both teams.

You need a striker like Ikpeazu who looks like he’s being fouled even when there’s no one anywhere near him.

Phew! Somehow we've scored a second in injury time to wrap it up. Sounds like we got pummelled in the second half but that's a massive 3 points.

Lovely 95th minute winner for us tonight. Sorry to chesterfield but that should do it for us even if we lose all our remaining games.

wow... I'm actually astounded that you're willing to applaud the death of one of the oldest football teams in the country. This is a sad day, make no mistake. This club will disappear within the year

I really fear for you guys. I don't want to see a close (in both senses) rival go out of the league, but its desperate times near the bottom.

My only hope now is that Allen loses all his fucking money. This club is rotten to the core

If we can survive it so can you.

Hope ya do go down and suffer for a few years mind, vicious circle mate, think back to when Mansfield got relegated.

Yea, all we need a super rich local fan to buy the club up and spunk money endlessly with no care about losing it. Stags have no real idea how lucky you've got it. There's no way the club survives relegation, no way. Debts are too high, owners and management don't give a shit, noone will be willing to buy at Allens asking price for a non league side. It's oblivion, end of
