Yea, all we need a super rich local fan to buy the club up and spunk money endlessly with no care about losing it. Stags have no real idea how lucky you've got it. There's no way the club survives relegation, no way. Debts are too high, owners and management don't give a shit, noone will be willing to buy at Allens asking price for a non league side. It's oblivion, end of

Sounds like us! No one will pay what Smurf wants now and we have debts (all be it to him!) the only saving grace potentially is the Hugill £2 Million to keep him interested as it comes through in installments over three years!

Wouldn't want to see Chesterfield go down (as much as we always fucking lose at your place!) we've had some great battles but it is feeling dog eat dog at the moment...

Mansfield could of survived without Radford although we would almost certainly still be a mid-table conference side mind.

Stags fans often look at the likes of Stockport, Wrexham etc down the leagues knowing how lucky they are.

I hope so much we contribute to your woes later in the season, be great.

That’s how you respond to a defeat, we completely dominated a woeful Newport and frankly it should of been 7/8 goals.

Hemmings is such a good player but is missing sitters nearly every game.

David Pipe for Newport had one of his toughest games in his career against CJ Hamilton who took the piss out of him and was my MOTM if it was not for a Alfie Potter Hat trick.

Pretty dominant and needed 1-0 win tonight. Matt Green should have had a couple.

Neal Eardley's goal is one worth looking out for as well!

The sooner this football club is liquidated the better for everyone involved

Not quite sure how we managed to win that, after the early goal Barnet put us under serious pressure for long periods and it took some great keeping and several last ditch clearances to keep them out. Still a great win for us, four consecutive clean sheets and now a nice gap growing between us and the bottom two.

Westley has got Barnet fighting and they have some decent players, I can see them going on a Newport-like run to safety.

That's what everyone with no understanding of a situation says
I’ll take a softer tact.

Last season, Orient’s relegation came in the midst of massive debt, no ground ownership etc. They are still going. Wrexham and ourselves went down after being completely fucked over by our owners who practically wanted us to die.

While I fully appreciate that York, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockport (plus Chester if you don’t exclude them for being relegated once before they had off pitch issues) all have fallen even further, more established football league clubs have been relegated from the league and stayed there/come back up than gone further. I don’t know your situation, granted, but there’s been so many fans of teams who felt as you do now. I know I was one.

Anyway, there’s still 14 games to go yet and you’re far from cut adrift. There’s so much still to play for, your doom and gloom is too early.

We've looked awful. We've got no fight or desire to win. And our luck is absolutely relegation luck and has been all season. It;'s so sad, from a near championship side to a non league side in a couple of years. We do not have the look of a team that will put a string ot results together to stay up. Not at all.

Another game where we huffed and puffed, but as soon as we went behind, we never looked like getting anything out of the game. We're taking plaudits but not points at the moment. These next 2 home games are absolutely massive, we have got to win one of them.

Newport were woeful. Good win considering everyone won tonight. Onto Exeter Saturday now. I’d take a point.

We do know how lucky we've got it.

We've had worse than you, we've been worse than you and we've been in the conference for 5 years. Not that clubs necessarily "deserve" things, but radford is at least rectifying some of what happened.

You've got a fair few sides down there who are awful, you've every chance

2 sets of financial results out this week. Firstly, the sustainable Forest green Rovers announcing a healthy £2.1million loss in the year they got promoted to the Football League. Last few years' losses as follows:

£2.5m in 2013-14
£2.9m in 2014-15
£2.5m in 2015-16
£2.1m in 2016-17

Secondly, Lincoln City's results for the last FY:
  • Pre Tax Profit of £1.3m
  • FA Cup Commercial Revenue after Costs £2m
  • Historic debts Cleared
  • 96% rise in expenditure (Mostly wages due to FA Cup and Promotion bonuses)
  • Turnover increased by over £3m

Our accounts came out yesterday for last season. In short:

£4.7m turnover
£1.3m net profit
£2.7m cash in the bank
£272k of new shares bought
£61k of fan donations
£65k spent on players (Raggett and Whitehouse)
Can't find where the player sales are (Margetts and Robinson)
Paid off all our outstanding debts (which was only £200k IIRC to the Co-op)
Directors loan of £120k but as someone says, that could be an investor loan and turned into equity after 'x' years. Another Director loan of £20k appears to have been paid back.
Doesn't break down player wages, just lumps any paid employee together but the season started with a budget of £510k
Should be in a new £1m+ training facility by pre-season.

EDIT - And it appears as though we've fucked the Co-op Bank off after they tried to shit on us 2 or 3 years ago.

And we have around £2.7million in the bank at present. That's going to be really helpful when we come to negotiating transfer fees...

Building a new training ground which will cost upwards of £1million though.

Ah, Luke beat me to it.

Have you got a grant for the training Ground? Think ours is costing 2 million but we have got a 500k Premier League grant.

Very cute how quick you two posted it by the way, very Lincoln like.

No idea, there's not a massive amount in the open about it yet - we don't even know a location (not sure what criteria you have to meet for grants either tbh). Everything seems agreed, it's just minor bits and pieces to tie-up.

Originally there was talk about setting up a temporary one and have one built into the new stadium site but it seems this one will be a permanent one now.

Losing 10 million in 4 seasons! Sustainable business model at its best!
I take it Mr Vince just writes it off against his ecotricty company?

Sort of Luke sounds the Coop is still our bank but around 2.5 million is with another bank from what I read yesterday.
It's registered as a new company called Impfinity.

On last night game...
Great strike to win and needed to be as both keepers did very well in difficult conditions especially the Cheltenham keeper who kept them in it.
Our pitch is so heavy from all the rain lately and all the games played on it which isn't helping.
Luckily weve only got one home game between now and mid March against Crewe so hopefully it will improve.
Wouldn't be surprised if some areas were replaced during that time.
The young lad on lad from Blackburn did well for us and deservedly got motm.
Some big brutes in that Cheltenham side!

The accounts state it's back in the Club now. That Impfinity was a temporary fix while they were moving the money away from the Co-op.

The headline figures were released last week but the fill results were posted on the website yesterday so not like we rushed on here to post the info.

Yeah let's all feel sorry for Chesterfield, in fact I propose only one side should go down this year.

Somebody remind me again, how much did they shell out to get O'Grady?
I'm one who would like Chesterfield to stay up. I'm not feeling sorry for them but they are a proper club, sure Stags and Notts want them in oblivion, we lose there every season but i want them to survive.
Football has amazing turns and twists, having being there when it was full and they were heading to the title a few years back the downturn in a few years has been startling.
I hope they stay up but you can't choose who goes down or i'd be waving bye bye to the Vegan pie eaters and Barnet.

I don't think Notts give a toss. They aren't rivals in any way shape or form.

Chesterfield fans took great enjoyment in our demise and ultimate relegation to the conference. So whereas Chesterfield are going through the same shit with a crap chairman like what we did, there'd be very little sympathy from our lot should the ultimate happen.
