In fairness you do have the tendancy to be "slightly" optimistic from time to time.
Time to time being the only example you can think of being a player signed in 2012.

Best defensive midfielder the Conference has ever seen!

Never even played in it before.

That one was a corker.

We lost 2-1 to Accrington last night, 2 games in a row we've had a man sent off and conceded a penalty after 24 minutes.

Also Kayden Jackson who we signed a few years ago after winning a tournament to win a pro contract scored, which is typical.

Stanley go into the automatic spots and we are 7th.

Ha, I hope that won't happen. I'm going to the game on Saturday, we've generally been merde at home so hopefully we can turn that around and put your guys to the sword.

Matt Green will score 50 goals this season...

Don’t be daft.

Kenny you have got me defending Lincoln fans now, probably the weirdest set of fans in the division after recent events.

Green is doing pretty well anyway, he’s not exactly surrounded with quality is he? Bagged a few too, although no doubt getting rid from Mansfield’s perspective was the correct decision.

I expect we will line up with the same team that won at Chesterfield last week. That means playing with an actual striker at home!

Boldewijn is the new league two player of the month so I expect a stinker from him. Hopefully KAG can carry on from an impressive debut and maybe a home goal to introduce himself to us.

Roberts has been out with a hamstring so I doubt he will start but maybe a bench warmer today.

Still don't think we're that good but I fancy a draw today.

As usual the Redz bar welcomes home and away fans (and other Aussie soaps) as does the new moon pub opposite(ish) the ground.

I was referring to the legend that was Jumping John.

Wish JJ was still on here,

I remember the other guy who managed to fool all you lot about John Radford, JJ ended up right about it all. No idea who he was but he was clearly in the know regarding everything MTFC.

Yessssss! We survived for 44 minutes before conceding, with a bit of luck we might only lose this 1-0 or 2-0, result!

SLADE IN!!

We are fucked, 3-1 down to a relegation rival, barely laid a glove and gifted them goals that were pub defending. Literally a mess. Boreham Wood can’t be that bad on a Tuesday night. Embarrassing. Fan base is rightfully losing its shit today.

Our slide has begun; we'll find ourselves around midtable by the end of February.

If we can keep this below 5-0 it is a great result with this shower of shite. Did somebody say play offs?

We’ve literally given up trying. That I can’t accept. Literally let him walk through us. I would sack the lot of them for this. It’s Cheltenham Town ffs!

5-1 it finished, a cowardly unacceptable and embarrassing effort. Now convinced we will be relegated a deservedly so. In league terms arguably the worst result in the past 30 plus years and that’s no understatement.

Absolutely furious and today has been the pinnacle of shitness that’s been ongoing since FGR Away.

People will defend Aspin because of his legendary status but we’ve been dire in recent weeks and shouldn’t be spared the pressure that a result and performance like that brings he deserves pressure.

I expect the fans be refunded as per the shambles at Wimbledon last year, the least the club can do.

Sick and tired of this shambles now. We got rid of the last crooks and had a glorious promotion and set for a solid challenge as a decent league one outfit again as per most of our history and then we made some crazy decisions and experiments and now we end up here tonked 5-1 at Cheltenham Town whilst watching players like Anthony Kay and Michael Tonge lead a side of pensioners and kids into non league for the first time in 100 years.

Furious. Fuck going Tuesday. The only hope is that our pitch is such a mess Exeter can’t work it like Luton and we get some joy.

No excuses tonight Smurf we need answers.

Dreadful game at Gresty Road, we drew our first game in 29 matches, but it was a poor spectacle in which we could have been playing now and not scored. We've got such a lack of quality all over the pitch, if we aren't beating our relegation rivals, we've got no chance. 4 sides in the top half next up, not sure where the next win is coming from.

Really good game and performance this afternoon. Looks like we’ve turned our home form round with a 4 in a row win against Mansfield.

Tbf, they looked pretty decent although didn’t create much and only remember our keeper making 1 block - we should have had another couple but their keeper was impressive.

Another big game at Wycombe on Tuesday. Got me ticket!

Thought you were decent last week especially as you had 10 men for 70 minutes

Sounded like we lost to narrow margins and a defensive mistake.

Got to lose at some stage, and results could have been worse

Odd game. I thought Grimsby were the better side for much of the game but a soft penalty (correct I think) and two stormers mean a forth win on the trot for Crawley.

Aherne-Grant was toiling away as a central attacking midfielder with no real joy. Switched to the right wing and straight away went on a run a curled a lovely shot into the opposite corner. Keeper no chance. In fact both our goals from open play are worth a look.

Couple of tasty tackles but overall a clean game played in atrocious conditions. At one point the Grimsby keeper cleared a through ball to touch and although it was clearing the grandstand to start with it barely made it out of play.

Spanking from Luton to look forward to now.

Not going to lie losing to Swindon today was hard to take, purely because Mansfield fans are not used to losing!! Swindon are the first team to do the double over Mansfield too, which adds to it.

I’m confident the table at the end of the season will show Mansfield are a better team, but no complaints over both games this season.

We were well due a defeat too, hopefully we bounce back on Tuesday and don’t do a ‘Notts County’

Don’t know if you went today, but Evans seems to think that that was ‘harshest result this season’.

With your 1 shot on target and your keeper saving a number of attempts, I don’t know what game he was watching.

Mind you, it was a change not to see a team of cheats and a crappy referee.

See you in the play offs!

It was one of those games, you have it where it doesn't go for you. We've lost 6 games in 31 and 2 of those are to Swindon.

The loss was always going to come against someone. The only side better than us down here us probably Luton, we need to regroup and go from there.

It sounded like the Swindon win was more than fair and you more on from that. Never get why there's a massive upset when you lose.
