Flitcroft needs to stop thinking about Danny Cowley and focus on his team.

Congrats on the 0-1 draw Grimsby.

Plenty of dogshit on show today, all so predictable. Awful game at Northampton, turd vs turd in Morecambe, Grimsby shitting a brick and Stags conceding late to draw.

Only bright spots for me was my two title bets both came from behind to win and stay the top 2 and I won BIG on the horses at Ayr#deadheat

Massively missed Warren at the back today, desperately hope he is fit for Tuesday. No complaints over the result, beaten by the better side and 3 excellent goals.

We really need to find someone that can take a penalty.

Wow! Did you purchase 4 iFollow match passes today pal? Congrats but I don't think I'm capable of watching 4 games simultaneously.

Or were you able to make up your mind on the quality of said matches just by looking at the match results? #joker

Lol I didn’t purchase one. It was dead simple, i’ll let you two into a little secret to stop you getting your knickers in a twist you sensitive soul

There’s a thing called match reports from fans who went to the game.

Both Northampton and Notts fans said our game was insipid Dross. So I’m pretty safe there.

Macc fans are rightly upset , and Morecambe called the game awful and said ugly win. That’s 2 for 2 lol

The Grimbo land post match comments including the words negative and I think dog turd or similar from fishy himself. Doesn’t sound a classic now does it ?

And finally Mansfield conceded late (common theme) to draw with lovely Cambridge . That’s a fact, no opinion just a fact.

How do you realise that? You appear great at looking through last seasons threads of two other teams to pick out my posts from ages ago yet can’t grasp this simple scenario. You are letting your city down.l it’s not rocking science lad

And can someone check on SoC he’s not liked Fishy’s comment yet. Worrying times

Another flitcroft masterclass on how not to win a game, what a man he is!

How to almost singlehandedly go and wrap up a point in a nice bow and go “here you are Cambridge, please have a point” even though you’re absolutely fucking dire and had he just played normal tactics we’d have won with ease (cracking goal mind)

The managerial mastermind has now won 4 out of 20 games, what a man.

Playing players out of position, never learning from mistakes, and some ridiculous belief in himself even though his record makes him the worst EVER Mansfield manager wins to games ratio

Please, do fuck off.

Still, we could be clownty, or chesterfield.

That’s nearly half season. Another like that and you’ll really be down among the dead men. Obviously, with your squad you’re a rival for promotion so I hope he stays, but putting on my neutral hat, he’s a fucking disaster.

Get rid quick.

I want rid now, he’s abysmal.

But apparently the “happy clappers” think he’s doing a good job, for some bizarre reason.

We are not going to be in a relegation battle but we will be well on course for mid-table which is unacceptable.

Next few games decides it for me, Radford will have more patience I imagine mind.

It’s crazy to only have lost once but be on this position, all those draws! Clearly a good team with a lack of management and backbone within the players to finish games off.

Feels like a lost opportunity with nobody really standing out, but we can’t get a win against teams like Cambridge and Macclesfield who are seriously struggling to get points on the board too.

The Flitcroft 'out' movement has well and truly started, I cannot blame them for being so impatience due to the form last season too but it's a waste of time getting rid at this point unless we have a proven manager to replace him.

It's still too early for me, and he's not going anywhere untill Christmas time I imagine anyway.

I see Flitcroft is now picking Danny Rose, makes sense but poor management to disempower your most potent attacker pre season.

We didn’t have another fit striker bar the young lad Graham so he didn’t have a choice.

Don't worry Mansfield fans, every time bar one that Flitcroft's managed a team against us, they've scored at least 3 past us. I think that's 4 out of 5 times. And with us not knowing what a goal is these days that'll be a 3-0 win for you lot when it comes at least.

Wish we had a manager who stuck to what worked last season rather than implement a ridiculous style of football that doesn't work in England let alone the lower leagues for the second straight year. This "death by football" approach has been practised by managers in the past such as Brendan Rodgers and Paul Clement. Judging by the amount of times they've been sacked, IT. DOES. NOT. WORK. For it to even have a chance of working you need two quick wingers whereas we don't even have a natural winger in the squad. Rodgers' wingers when it worked at Swansea were Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair whereas at Liverpool they were Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling. The wingers when he was sacked were Lazar Markovic and Jordon Ibe. It says it all.

Crewe fans want to see wins, they don't want to see us win in a certain way. Certainly not one that relies on a solid defence and two pacey wingers, key components of the philosophy that we don't have...

Mr Radford is far too patient , positive and trusting to sack Flitcroft, he only appointed him about 6 months ago.

Surely it would need some home defeats for JR to feel the home fans pressure

Bit random but can any Mansfield fans recommend anywhere my wife and Daughter (10 year old) can go when we play at Mansfield on 13th October?
My lads Birthday is the day before so I’m taking him and they want to come with us but don’t want to go to the game.
All I can find for them so far is an Odeon cinema half a mile away but that all depends on if there’s anything on for them at the right sort of time.
Any ideas I’d be grateful for cheers.

I think Mansfield are building a new entertainment complex near the stadium. It’s going to feature a few modern things like Wimpy and Blockbusters.

Right, first thing you're apparently unaware of is that you must never read too much into what fans say about a match involving their own club (well not unless their side has just won a game 4 or 5 nil). Quite an easy concept to grasp really as it's hard to be objective on the side you follow, plus there's also the fact that fans tend to focus only on their lot and every time their team doesn't win they rarely give credit to their opponents and it's always a case of 'we were poor'.

Secondly, you've picked out four matches that meant a lot for 6 of the 8 teams involved (Camb, Macc, Morecambe, Cobblers, Grimsby and Notts ), 6 sides that haven't had the greatest of starts to the new season. Mansfield were also under pressure to get that first away win of the season under their belts. I think it's fair to say that the priority for all the managers of these 6 clubs was to at least pick up a point; whether they succeeded or not is irrelevant. I'm sure we can agree that one cannot expect to see pretty football in this scenario.

Yep, I do look through old threads when a forum member puts up a link in order to clarify something. I think some Notts fan posting 4 comments on an Exeter v Mansfield match thread is a bit odd particularly when said fan frowns upon other forum members doing the exact same thing #baffling

Btw, I only represent myself on this board so I'm not letting the club or the city down as you put it.

That’s all great but what if fans of both sides in a particular match describe the game/performance as ‘ugly’, ‘negative’, ‘insipid’, ‘dross’, ‘Dog turd’, and ‘awful’! Not one fan, but multiple. Not just one set of fans but both. You don't need Miss Marple to help you out , and it isn’t much of a leap of faith at all to surmise that none of those 3 games were classics or anyway close.

You’ve overanalysed I simply selected 3 games in which fans of both sides commented how poor their team was and/or how bad the match was. The other game I stated a fact a fact, a late concession from Mansfield which I’m told by and read on here is common with Flipflop in charge.

So really, you were getting your knickers in a twist over absolute nothing. Too sensitive?

I’m yet to hear a fan of either side in those three games say their match was good match or they played particularly well. Also, no Stags fan has said the last concession isn’t a commone theme or unexpected. That my friend tells the story perfectly. I stand by my post.

Looking back at last seasons match thread from months n months ago of two other sides tells us all a lot. I think you’ve let yourself down there tbh. I don’t understand why someone would do that. But hey ho

P.S. I’ll never watch a Saturday 3PM game on ifollow , why would I? Anyone? Better things to do than that surely. Unless you were destined for Ikea! Yuk.

The only way I could’ve gone to Stevenage and got back in time for work at 6 last night would’ve been to borrow Impish’s super powered sports car, but unfortunately he couldn’t lend me it as he was using it to go to Old Trafford for Man Utd v Wolves.

If that came from a Cheltenham Cambridge fan etc then fair play, but from a Grimsby fan?

Barely invented the fucking wheel in that dump

Yeah, the forward he tried to flog and doesn’t want to play played a blinder and socred the goal.

Doesn’t make flitcroft look any more of a tit does it?

Depends what you’re looking for. There’s the cinema as young point out, swimming baths down the road, the bowling alley is a short walk from the ground also. Failing that there’s always Meadowhall which is kinda on the way home for you given it’s an early KO. If the weathers decent Sherwood Forest is just round the corner.

He’s Northampton and Oldham at home followed by bury away and Grimsby at home. You’d be looking for 7 points minimum.

Fail badly in those and ill become a lot more vocal at matches, I don’t believe doing so during the game, best to vent on here etc, but he’s got to start turning it around soon.
