The players looked knackered, not surprising with the amount of games we've played in last 6 weeks but worrying signs with a very important run coming up.

The ref was very kind to us last night as well, from where I was the McDonald challenge in the second half was a stonewall pen and maybe a second yellow.

We started well last night against Newport and when the first went in I thought we'd be in for a comfortable night but they were stronger in the final 20 minutes or so of the first half, equalising and perhaps should have gone in front.

Getting the early goal in the second half was key. Farman saved with his face but we should have probably ended up with 4 or 5 goals really had we really gone for it. We looked like we had much more quality in the final third than they did.

Farman is still an unsettling presence IMO. Good shot stopper, but his deficiencies are shown up much more in the FL and I'd be inclined to bring another 'keeper in if Vickers is out for much longer. Been a few times in the last 3 (or 4?) games where the defence aren't quite sure what he's going to do and are telling him what they want.

Also a decision on CB and CM. Bostwick, as good as he's been at CB, is far more influential in CM but then you have got to chose between Woodyard and Frecklington and if you choose Woodyard, you then have to choose between Frecklington and Rhead. Or you change the shape, like we did last night for a bit and go 4-3-3 to fit them all in, but if we've deviated from 4-4-2 in more than a couple of times in 18 months I'd be amazed.

You know it wouldn't be Frecklington, he isn't good enough, not if you sleep on it and have a last minute change of heart that is.

Woodyard would get into your team easily enough, as he would in any League Two side.
