Played well tonight and well worth the lead. Should really be out of sight - v profligate. FGR still in it for sure. Can’t believe they’ll be that bad again on Sunday. Excellent to have a few pints of Cwtch and go to a game.

How can you drink something that doesn’t contain a vowel?

I'm probably going to sound like a total nob here, but that hasn't stopped me before but here goes.

I thought that standard of the Newport v FGR game was absolutely atrocious. And that's even with me having watched us all season being pitiful. Yes the weather clearly played a huge factor but in my eyes both teams were intent to bang it down the field and hope for mistakes. This clearly worked for Newport as FGR were all over the place at the back towards the end but based on this I'm not looking forward to being back in this league at all now

Going to be even more fun when all of us atrocious hoofers make you next season’s basket-case relegation fodder.

Certainly not a good game for the purists, although Newport's first goal was class.
Both teams know they can improve and that game was blip in FGR's recent standard of play.

Tbf, he didn’t say all. Bob’s view was based n watching 2 sides - Newport and FGR. It’s only a year ago we were in L2 so we have a pretty good idea of what’s to come.

FWIW, we were atrocious hoofers for large parts of the past season. Due entirely to Sheridactyl having absolutely no game plan, tactics or organisational skill.

I am under absolutely no illusion we are in for a tough season. Hopefully we'll not be next season's Southend, that doesn't sound like much fun at all.

How is James Brophy doing BTW? I always liked him but was in the minority. Also is Vigs leaving Orient?

You'll love tonight's game then. I'm predicting we'll have 27% possession, steady away.

We might do a bit more with our possession now that we have a change in leadership.
As a long time smoker i was never that fond of hills but Keith was the tipping point.

:) Just let it go, Robshep. He's gone.

Have you got a ticket for tonight?

You can have the possession and we can take the goals if there's any

That'll be about right. Excited? Nervous?

Where are you watching tonight?

Very nervous, if we play our game and don't do anything stupid, then we should be ok going into Sunday.

Will be at Cross Bay Brewery tonight, you? Did you get a ticket for Sunday after all that debacle?

No. There was about 350 left after season ticket holders took theirs but didn't want one to be honest. 3,400 all free. Its a nice gesture because they could have made a decent amount of money.

Pretty much every season now that the worst-run club plummets. Sarfend/Grimsby, Macc/Bury, Chesterfield, Orient...

Brophy is fun to watch. No end product though. Pretty much our only reasonable option at either left wing or left back. Personally I hope he stays.

Vigouroux should leave. Far, far too good for League Two - probably only Hladky that’s better than him in the basement.

How is Matty B? Class act as a chap and player whilst he was with us.

If L2 is the basement, what's the National League?

A few of us watching at home with a NOW 1 day pass, half time home-made meat and potato pie, gravy and minty mushy peas and some alcohol containing productions. Start with Margaritas, I think. They're so Morecambe ;) and they keep the scurvy at bay.

Ticket for Sunday, yes. You?

Do you think there is more or less pressure on you to be successful in the play offs. We are financially secure so its very likely we can go again next season from a strong position but it could be difficult for you if Adams leaves and several of your squad go to other clubs.

There was a 30 minute highlights show of the Newport FGR game yesterday before I went to work and I caught the end of it from around 65 mins onwards and every chance that Newport had in that time came from FGR trying to pass it around the back and Newport nicking the ball back from them, 3 or 4 really good chances to kill it off all caused by FGR fannying around at the back.

I'm sure the board will be finding someone to replace Adams and when he was appointed he turned down Hearts of Mithlothian in 2019 they've also said they want to be a sustainable league one club by 2023, the owners have also said that we're already sustainable before covid hit, with player's leaving Like Sam Lavelle and Carlos both being 24 and under we could be due for compensation but no one knows really, we're not really under pressure cause we've been written off for years as Relegation Favourites and whatever happens the players should be proud and like the Fans are upbeat and ready for it

I'm a bit downbeat (thoroughly pissed off actually) about the whole Adams "rumour mill" thing and I believe that the speculation may cause a patchy display tonight and Sunday. Yes, my fear is that Adams goes to Bradford and we lose a few significant players and we're back as relegation favourites for next season. If so, it will be like the whole weird season was a dream and when we're back onto the terraces it will be business as usual for the lil ol Shrimps. Overall though, I live by the view "don't let the football spoil your day out!".
I know we are, and for the last 15 years have been, punching way above our weight. So ultimately I see the whole football league adventure positively and whatever happens, always will.

Therapy session over. Come on you fucking Reds, do em.
