The last couple of seasons, pre-Covid, the average has been around 2700-2800...think the ground capacity is around 5000, which would feel a bit claustrophobic. Some games we get around 4000, against the likes of Exeter, Cheltenham and Swindon, but it can be a bit below 2000 for a wet Tuesday evening in February...a lot of our fans are either kids or pensioners, they are probably at home tucked up in bed with a mug of cocoa, or doing their homework, and attending a footy match isn't top of their priorities!
Sorry I meant home FGR fans on average per game at New Lawn.

Remember noting that we were managing a home fans only average of over two thousand consistently a while back but not checked recently. Kept my eye on it as that's a fair milestone for us. Growth not really at a rate that would suit DV's plans though still.

Ridiculous that they're not letting more in at RP than at the New Lawn. It's so much larger and less cramped, I'm sure there's be no problem allowing all the season ticket holders in, at least, quite safely.

I think the social distancing regulations in Wales are a bit stricter now than in England, so I presume that is one of the stated reasons.
Unfortunately we have a complete fuckwit in charge at Cardiff Bay who deems it too dangerous to stand on a terrace cos of Covid. Sitting in a stand is ok though. Typical of the twat’s approach throughout lock down, does things differently to justify his own existence.

The Welsh COVID cases are a lot lower than the English rate, so the cautious approach seems to be working.

Personally, it’s nice not to have a club in the POs that I desperately want to lose. So may the best team win!

That sounds about right, I would put it in the region of 2000-2200, crowds have definitely grown in recent seasons. It will be interesting to see what happens if, or when, social distancing requirements are removed and clubs are able to open up all areas of their grounds at normal capacity.

I feel like this is quite a bit exaggeration... Can’t see another full lockdown myself

For those who look to superstition to strengthen their strong strong beliefs that their team will win promotion at end of month, I have sadly a bit of bad news for FGR supporters.
In 2016 Leicester City FC won their first Premiership title. During same season FGR ended 2nd in table but failed to win promotion.
In 2021 Leicester City FC win FA Cup, also for the first time, and FGR are again in play-offs.
I sometimes hate co-incidences.

Have others got the same opinion as me that the number of scribes to this forum has fallen off a cliff.
A few years ago every match had its own thread and Oakies prediction competition had sheets of players.
Threads for each game has ceased and there were just 8 players in Oakies competition.
We are now in play-offs and it has just one thread of five pages long. Boring, boring, boring.
I hate to say it but the Bolton supporters will be sadly missed next season. They contributed half the conversations.

Most people’s interest, myself included, has waned this past season due to no crowds and Covid.

There’s also the possibility it may be due to supporting a fucking basket case club.

Latest betting odds and info for Newport v FGR.
The bit that interested me was Newport's last home win against FGR was back in 2010.

Didn’t help that the site spent half of last year down for days and weeks at a time with maintenance scheduled on a Saturday most weeks. Other problem is that there are so many bigger clubs in the Natty and so many tinpotters in this division.

But the NL forum is also a lot less busy these days and even if it wasn’twhy are the Championship and League 1 forums so quiet? Not many tinpotters up there.

The Prem boards have never had much activity.

People use twitter and facebook now for football talk. There used to be loads of people that would sign up to a message board who were under 25. Now I would guess 95% of people on here are over 25. Messageboards will die out soon.

I would say it was mainly down to the adverts and excessive amount of downtime.

Certainly put me off and I ended up posting elsewhere,. only returned here when we were relegated back to L1 as that section on here was/is marginally busier.

Other forums are dying though. I used to regularly post on 6 or 7, including a couple of darts ones, but so many have gone by the wayside now.
