One of the worst performances of the season today. Playing Danny Rose up front on his own at home against a bottom 6 side is stupid. Lost our discipline majorly today mainly due to inept refereeing display. Need to bounce back in our next two away games. York and Mansfield both tough but we need to take at least 4 points from these games to keep up with the chasing pack.
As long as you don't batter us silly again it should be a good game.

We were well below par today and to be honest given the Cambridge 2nd half performance they fully deserved to draw at the very least!

With Percival, Weslowski out for the season and also Lawrence and Mangan out it has pushed us to the edge and we are not playing like a top 3 team, more like a team pushing for the play-offs.We desperately need Lawrence and Mangan back!
Tough games coming up,
Wyconbe A
Morecambe A
Oxford H will not be easy as we see from them winning at Bury today
Portsmouth A

I think we need 7 wins from 11 games and not confident tonight we will get them!

Hard earned point at Southend which i'm happy with as Luton and Bury both lost and Shrewsbury drew, only Burton won at the top.5 points above 4th and a much better goal difference than Southend, Luton and Bury, 5 0r 6 more wins should confirm promotion i reckon but we still have to play away at Luton and home to Shrewsbury so it's in our hands.
So the league leaders away as well don't count then does it?

Run-ins for the current top 10, in order of points gained by their remaining opponents:

Wycombe 548
Burton Albion 545
Luton 544
Northampton 540
Bury 523
Southend 519
Shrewsbury 515
Plymouth 511
Newport 504
Stevenage 501

Doesn't really mean anything obviously, but thought it might be interesting for some.

We NEED to win at Mansfield and York to keep up after yesterday's setback.. Can't see it happening though

MASSIVE game for us on Saturday at Wycombe. Would be great to get 3 points although I can't see it as our record against them is pretty dismal (apart from the 7-0 thrashing we gave them at their place in the JPT a few year back - Grant Holt scoring 5 :hail: and me being one of the lucky town fans to be there to witness it). I would take a point now to be fair, should be a decent following from Salop and i'm really looking forward to it.

We're shite at home recently, as long as we don't lose i'll be happy if teams below us drop points as well.

3 points from our last 6 matches. We're struggling big time at the moment, just at the wrong time.

Shades of our season under Brabin/Buckle where we absolutely imploded and only got a play off place on the last day of the season against the runaway champions Fleetwood. Then were beaten at Wembley by an offside goal.

Good 3 points today, just three points behind 3rd now which a month ago seemed a long way a way. Still don't think we'll make top three with Shrewsbury, Wycombe and Southend getting the other two promotion spots.

Massive win today. Still a long way to go and plenty of time to choke yet, but that was a serious result vs a promotion contender.

So the team currently top, and 8 points clear of 4th place will not go up automatic?

We're getting closer to the finish line now after a game we had to win. Luton look out of automatic promotion so that's one less to worry about. If we beat Accrington at Adams Park on tuesday we'll be top as Burton and Southend play each other on wednesday which i'd like to be a draw.

Hardly clear is it you pipe.

Burton are already up in my opinion, about time really they've been knocking on the door for a while now. They deserve a crack at league 1.

Lose on wed to Southend and its back in the balance. The gap would be down to 5 points then. And if u win too it will close that gap.
On paper we look good - but I'm still not sure.

30 points to play for.....

You've only lost 3 times since November. It would take an almighty collapse to not get at least 3rd come the end of the season.

Huge game on Wednesday, chance for us to bring Burton back in to sight. Expect Bury and Wycombe to get 3 points, tough games for Shrewsbury and Luton though.

Wouldn't you rather Burton win to stop Southend entering the top 3?

Great win, and a big plus to have Lawrence back and fit to start plus Mangan back with 9 minutes at the end.
Burton and Southend draw would keep Burton in reach being only one win away, as we are still looking upwards, but also keep a little distance from Southend.
I see Bury have had 7 wins from 8 but not sure they will keep that going?

Personally no. With our easier run of fixtures I fancy the title. We should have enough in the tank now Mangan and Lawrence are fit again.

Agree 100%

Burton also have Wycome and Bury to play yet as well as Southend tonight

After last nights victory over Southend I would think 9 or 10 points from our remaining 9 games should see us achieve a top 3 spot. Definately possible and within our capabilities.
