Personally, I tend to think stoppage time in general comes up way way short.

Two subs and a goal will get you three minutes, that's before you add on injuries and other stoppages.

Stoppage time is for unnatural breaks in play, if you actually played 45 mins like they do in Ice Hockey and American football each half would take the thick end of 2 hours

Just looked at the burton twitter. Their official twitter account has favourited tweets from fans criticising our away support, criticising our twitter fans.

Very unprofessional.
It really is, you wouldn't catch Andy Hall putting the boot into the away fans, even if he has personal views about them the club always take the official line of thanking the away fans for making the journey just like 90 of the 91 other league clubs do.

Shame about that guy seeing the Burton fans as a whole seem like a good bunch. Some of my favourite forum members are Burton fans, they even invited a Burton fan into the commentary box pretty much straight on ninety-minutes on BBCRC because he wanted to come in to congratulate them on a hard fought point and offer his support to our survival bid, never seen that anywhere else. Also as I pointed out earlier, Sean O'Hanlon recieved a lot of applause from them as he walked off according to BBCRC.

Some kids on twitter giving it some mouth though, seems like they've got a group of those annoying fans who just take the piss constantly. Saw someone saying we were the worst team they've ever seen at the ground, well we're just drawn with you so surely that makes you worse? For the most part they're a good lot but just feel like their media officer lets them down a lot, pretty unprofessional of him to say some of the stuff considering his updates are meant to be just an objective view for the fans who aren't there.

May aswell just ignore it I'm sure we moan the same things at times.

although no doubt that same guy will defend it en masse next season when Burton go to say a Sheff Utd and flood defence and time waste like mad and they moan about them doing it.............all goes in circles.

the one good thing for us is that late late goes hasn't effected morale at all, infact the game even with that draw has boosted morale when usually a 99th minute goal would feel last a horrendous defeat.

should give us a boost for Saturdays next big game.

Yeah it's certainly much different to the Shrewsbury one, mainly because we all would've been happy with a point at the start whereas obviously nobody was happy with the loss to Shrewsbury. Morale certainly feels high after that, couldn't really be more proud of the team which is something we've not been able to say all season. 1 more point should see us to safety I think, at which point we can enjoy what has been a very close escape this season. Very excited to have Gillespie back as well as he's probably one of the best in the league on his day as he was yesterday.

When we played Burton the first time, the weird thing about the place was that there were no kids, no-one looking for trouble, goading or anything. Just mid-40+ guys.

Hoping for a decent attendance on Saturday. Almost 400 to a midweek game in the Midlands and the players looking like they've really responded well to Curle's criticism (albeit at the cost of a red card but we all know fans secretly love seeing their players get sent off for fighting so long as they win on the day). If we can cheer the team over the line against Plymouth then we can have a party on the final day.

The last day would be brilliant if we were safe. Put a shocking season behind us, play one last game knowing there are no repercussions for the first time in a couple of years. It'd be a party for sure, and if Hartlepool stayed up as well that'd be an awesome day for everyone. One big stadium-wide 'we are staying up' chant.

Yeah don't want to send Hartlepool down... don't really want Tranmere to go down either, but the only situation where Hartlepool and Tranmere both survive sends us down (besides a really unlikely one where Mansfield go) and I certainly don't want that.

Well, we are still regarding ourselves in it, but that we've gone from 22/1 to 150/1 speaks volumes, I expect us to be mathematically safe on saturday, with 2 out of 3 sides needing to win to keep us involved.

Looking forward to Portsmouth at home and Accrington away just being a bit of a piss up. A LOT of work is needed in the summer

Think i'd prefer Tranmere to stay up just because they're a bit easier as an away day for me, both good clubs though and will be sad to see the back of one of them.

I'm not picky. In an ideal world id like to see us, tranmere and Hartlepool all stay up, but not gonna happen obviously.

At the moment I couldn't give a fuck who goes down as long as it's not us.

I hate to keep saying it but we're not safe, we still have work to do. We can't just assume teams won't win 2 games, because anything can happen.

2 more points should do it for us. After last nights effort, I'm expecting a sluggish performance on Saturday so Plymouth will probably turn us over, then Stevenage is another tough game.

I think it will come down to our game with Hartlepool. It's going to be nervy!

1 more point I reckon. Let's say Tranmere are cut off, needing to win all of their last 3 if we were to get another point. Cheltenham need 2 wins and a draw if we get a point as well, and would need to make up 6 goal difference during those.

Yeah 1 would probably do it, 2 would make it certain.

Would be nice if we could somehow scrape 3 points on Saturday so we can relax.

I think as long as we don't get thumped we may now have enough.

I just do not see either Cheltenham or Tranmere winning 2 of the last 3 and I think hartlepool may lose their next 2 games also.

but of course my only doubt is from that 2006 year when Torquay were at this stage doomed then won all their last matches to survive.

Yeah I wouldn't want any of the players to assume the job's done now, got to go for just one more game and hopefully get something against Plymouth, then we can really kick back and relax. All will be clearer after Saturday in terms of whether anyone below us is hitting any sort of form.

Well I don't see why not, we were pretty good at Home Park earlier in the season. Plymouth's strength this season has been their defence so I don't know how they set up away from home but I'm not expecting them to come and play all-out attack.

Another massive set of games coming up.

Carlisle United v Plymouth
Luton v Hartlepool
Northampton v Cheltenham
Tranmere
v Oxford

It's quite simply must win for Tranmere. If they fail to win I think they are done. I fancy them to sneak a win here, oxfords minds will probably be on the beach already.

Carlisle have a tough game, Plymouth are looking to get into the playoffs so you'd expect an away win here. Carlisle are in a position where they don't have to get a result as long as others fail to win.

Cheltenham have a tough game but winnable and should go in with some confidence after the midweek win.

Hartlepool are at Luton. Luton are in terrible form especially at home. Its a great chance for Luton to end this run, but equally a great chance for Hartlepool to pick up a good result.

So in your world Carlisle lose and everyone else wins, however , in the real world last weekend Carlisle won and everyone lost, and just for good measure drew at the leaders midweek just to reinforce how bad they are!

Where have I said everyone else will win?
The only bottom team I've said I think will win are Tranmere because Oxford have nothing to play for.

Not inconceivable that all four sides there could win this weekend, or pick up points at the very least. I think Tranmere will take all three, and I reckon if Carlisle can get on the front foot early doors they'll beat Plymouth as well. Cheltenham to draw away at Northampton with Pools the toughest ask away at Luton (although on current form even that looks handy). Pacey forward on McNulty and you're onto a winner there, Pools.

You said Cheltenham is winnable and Pools can get a good result, yet dismiss Carlisles chances of getting anything! Over this last month or so you have predicted nothing but doom and gloom for Carlisle ,and every time you are wrong ! For Carlisle to go down of the 11 fixtures that the 4 clubs have to play ( we play you last game ) 9 have to go against you , to stay up only 2 have to go your way , this is the relegation thread , any chance of the three of us left in it have it to discuss or fate, join in by all means but do us all a favour and stop going on about Carlisle going down

I'm jumping at the chance to slowly exit this thread. Reckon Carlisle will get a draw, Cheltenham will lose, Tranmere and Hartlepool both win.

At risk of sounding like Hellogregory, I don't think we'll pick up another point this season. Most of our fans have given up and it feels a bit like the team gave up over a month ago. It'd be nice to go into the last game with a real chance of staying up (although another repeat of last season would be sickening), but I think we'll be down after we lose to Plymouth.

Cheltenham and Tranmere loose tomorrow or don't even get a point and Mansfield are safe regardless of our result, with only 6 points left to play for.

Id say its between Tranmere Cheltenham and Hartlepool, who ever stays up out of them will be lucky. Hartlepool deserve to go, been the worst team this season.

Cant see any of them getting more than a point from the last three games
