At the first meeting for new members of brotherhood does a fan representative have to turn up, stand up and say 'hi, I am (insert name), I support (insert ex league club) we are a none league club.

Afterwards the other members of the brotherhood applaud.

You ever walked up Newgate Lane in the dark?

They’ve probably as much as each other, Mansfield is a former mining town, Nottingham the poorest city in the land last year. It’s not really relevant to the relegation thread.

Though of course notts county are entirely relevant to the relegation thread.

Of course not, that would be totally tinpot.

You simply get your membership pack (outlining the doctrine and vision) delivered to you within 3 working days of relegation. There are no returns.

15 from Eastleigh, 22 from Havant, 30s and 40s from the rest bar Harrogate who took 200 and Chesterfield 400. Welcome to our world.

It would be interesting to know what the largest away following is for a team in the Conference that had never played in the Football League. Maybe something from Stevenage, Morecambe, Yeovil or Burton.

As two of the very few "big" non-league non-ex-league clubs left, Woking and Altrincham may take a fair few hundred to some games if they go up, but maybe only to local sides.

I'd like to see Chorley come up and see what they take next season. They strike me as a good club who are doing it in the right way. Telford aren't too badly supported either. They took 98 to us in the trophy, in context that is a big following.

Well we did take 4,000 to Fisher Athletic on the day that we first gained promotion to the Football League in 1990/91!

That's amazing, I didn't know Fisher's ground even held that many, at least back then.

We took well over 1,000 to Rushden in 1999 - many were locked out or managed to get into the home ends. They certainly sold more tickets than they had seats as well because people had to stand on the steps leading up to the seats.

Despite that, it wouldn't have been close to the 4,000 Barnet took to Fisher.

Yet for years you’ve argued the point ? Quoting the likelihood of being shot and ignoring the obvious depression and emptiness of the former pit town ? A tad hypocritical Adam . Why this town vs City debate keeps coming up I never know . Nottingham is the East Midlands premier city, indisputable

Rushden and Diamonds. I spent more time in their car park than actually watching the game.

I think Jemfy has followed them through all their goings on!

Mansfield seem to dislike County so much I can only assume they'll be letting us win next week in order to facilitate the latter's relegation.

I think it’s just Spanish stag, the rest find notts county quite amusing!

But yeah we lost to Yeovil at home the other week, so maybe we will. Though in fairness a defeat to Macclesfield wouldn’t go down well lol

II only went twice (I couldn't make the 99 game). A lot of Cheltenham fans considered them a big rival when were battling them for the Conference title. One fan even had I 8 Rushden on the back of his shirt!!!

What a joker, you comment on Notts in a multitude of threads ! I’d go as far as saying even more than your yellow amigo. Obsessed ? You certainly can’t seem to go a day without making a reference . I think we all know why ;)

You and Spanishstag are so similar aside from age and a wheat intolerance haha

Heyho it’s long overdue so can’t blame you

9 years then really not in a position to comment old boy . Although Mansfield won’t have changed much since the late 80s

At what point do you become "tin pot"?

As soon as you hit non-league?
As soon as you visit a ground taking more fans than the home side?
When you lose your first FA Trophy game?
5+ years outside the EFL?
When you play a league 2 side at home pre-season and it's your best friendly?
When you sign a player and he has to decide whether to give up his milk round?
Mansfield become the commentary team on Radio Nottingham?
You walk down the street with your club colours on and people come up to you to ask who the team is and where they are from?
You no longer get a mention in the tabloids football section?
Most of your side is based around a loan player from Fleetwood?
You look at the fixture list for the derby games against Chesterfield?

For the avoidance of doubt, no Brother ever becomes tinpot (although Chesterfield have had several warnings this season during Brotherhood EGM's).

But Non League hits you when some of these occur....

1) When you realise that you'd be happy with a point at Bromley.

2) Your club takes short-term punts on alcoholic midfield playmakers who 'on their day' should be playing in the Championship.

3) You sign Joe Quigley, probably on a month's loan.

No, we're finished this season. All over. We'll end up 10th and looking for yet another manager for next season.

Solihull Motors Rugby Club and The Evil™ will be getting reffed up.

But so long as 2 from the historical tinpotters of Crawley, Cheltenham, Morecambe, Yeovil & Macclesfield come down, the Natural Order will effectively be no worse off and we'll have another go at restoring things to their rightful position next season.

Notts County will know they are in non league when they don’t get a mention on East Midlands Today.

Love that! Lol

That’s awesome. I’ve not seen that show for years but the steady decline in football coverage was unmissable. Stopped showing all the goals of all the teams and ended up just mentioning scores and showing the odd goal.

It will be a huge loss if we don’t make the 3 min sport section of East Midlands today.
Sad times
