Ethan Walker officially back at Carlisle till the end of the season. Pleased with it as he looked really promising before his injury.

We now have 8 forwards. Surely at least one will leave.

Apparently we are rushing around today to find an emergency loan keeper as number 2 as Dino Visser is now out for a period of time due to the full contact Rugby match played in training yesterday.
You'll have to explain this one!

Well that's the problem - we're well over the limit now, and if there's no one willing or able to take our rejects then we'll have half a dozen players picking up a wage but unable to play.
You have only 1.5m to play with
The £1.5m only applies to registered players this season (next season it applies to the whole squad, regardless of if they're registered or not), so if Barrow can just de-register them, albeit obviously still having to pay them.

There isn't a salary cap in the National League. You have the look of us when we went out of the league. Ask any supporter of a team who have gone down in this division. Arrogance and self importance do not win games. Ask Notts County supporters how they went down. The teams below you have been there and done mostly. They know what it takes.

In a really poorly held interview by Frank Sinclair which pretty much chucked Pugh under the bus Leon Legge appears to have been de-registered and will not wear the Vale shirt again. Rumours of talks with Oldham.

Also some rumour that Pope has been deregistered all be it he is out for at least two months.

We are in the market for a central defender after Darling signed for MK Dons.
Rumours we got £100k plus 20% sell on fee for Darling who was out of contract in the summer.

Legge wouldn’t be the worst player to have around as back up.

He’s been struggling this year. Possible his legs have gone.

Thought you may have taken Taft back, Scunthorpe seem to be benefitting from his presence.
It has come out that he had Covid and that was the sole reason he was not playing in our first team.
Was always a strange one, and now we know the reason why.......Still contracted to us next season and he may yet return and play regularly next season.......to be honest he is better than Delaney who starts most games

I know Legge has been shite of late, but it wouldn't surprise me if his anti-vaccine tweets this week at the same time where your club were promoting the immunisation process on Twitter has more or less sealed his fate with you lot.

Would be harsh, it was more that he wasn’t convinced it was safe which is a common concern amongst the population.

That said there’s various rumours from a bust up with Sinclair to a contract extension trigger if he plays again.

Swindon interested in taking Will Evans off us.

fits really - we need his wages off the wage bill, Shez signed him when he was our manager and Evans is from that necka woods.

fingers crossed

we are likely to loan out a few players this coming week - which may include Sam Hird - who would do a good job for you guys.

This seems an odd one. We have 8 CBs on the books and no disrespect but signing a player from non-league just doesn't sound what we need.

Anyway may as well ask your thoughts on him. PS we are in league 1 for a few months longer so technically this is the wrong part of the forum.

Haha sorry mate I a bit out the loop with the FL sadly!
I personally don’t think he will be a miss at our level, got player of year first season and it’s been downhill since. He’s been better under the mew boss and our defensive record is good in the last 8/9 games and hes been part of that so there is a player on there somewhere. Good in the air but slow and has a mistake him I’d say.

I’d have Hird back in a heart beat. We’re cutting cloth though and I know he will be on a decent wage. New manager has brought 12 in with only a handful leaving so think we are more likely to see a few leave than bring many/any more in

Thanks Spire for taking the time to respond. I've taken no offence to you assuming we are in L2, trust me this season we've been playing like we ought to be :)

To be honest your feedback baffles me further, all season we have gifted opponents with ridiculous circus like gaffes at the back. I know thay Evans was an STFC youth graduate and has obviously worked under Sheridan but he really doesn't sound what we need at the moment. Sounds awfully like he'd be handy enough in L2 so maybe the white flag is being hoisted already! In that case, I'll top up my glass of red! Cheers!!

Dylan Mottley-Henry set to leave. I actually thought he might’ve stayed because he’s got to be on peanuts - unless it’s due to bodies/registration purposes.

Lee Novak seeing a specialist today regarding knee injury. Regardless of the extent of his injury, another striker and winger still to come in.

Hopefully we can get the Conor McAleny signing done. Rumours suggest that he may not be our number one target, though. As for the winger, someone like Matt Done at Rochdale would be ideal.
