We've signed defender Fiacre Kelleher from Wrexham.

On paper that looks a really poor one given they released him.

Nicky Ajose 2.0!

Maybe a move away to the South West will see his attitude improve. I admit I am clutching at straws on that though!
Yeah the south west could do him some good as he will be away from his crew in Luton/MK.

His workrate is awful but lovely feet, great eye for a pass.

Complete waste of money. He was signed as a number ten, but never seemed to fit into a system with us. We then went into last season with Luke Norris as our only striker and he was injured, so we started off with Brown up front and he had a little goal flurry for two or three weeks - I saw it mentioned that he started last season with 11 in 16, well nine of those goals came in a five-game period during November, scoring just twice in the other 60 games he played for us.

No loss at all and he would have been on good money too.
You paid £250k for him didn’t you? I’m hoping the fact he’s on a free and hopefully not a long contract will represent a low risk punt for us. Also hope we can get the best out of him with our system. Not convinced he will start the first game ahead of Jay or Randall unless he can play with them on the right of an attacking 3? I’m seriously hoping we bring in a recognised striker soon!

We're set for contract talks with Ross Millen, a RB who was released by Kilmarnock.

I imagine he will walk out the minute we offer him a derisory contract.

Well we signed a regular starter from a Championship* club last week, that’s impressive no?

*Scottish Championship
Do like the look of him mind, and that interview in the local paper up there was refreshing, not just because he's keen to try down here rather than stick in Scotland but the way we sounded quite together when we approached him and how it impressed him.

He also talked about not being here forever, wanting to put himself in the shop window and get a move up the leagues in the next year or two. I actually respect that level of honesty and obviously shows the lad is motivated to impress.

I saw the Wrexham fans were miffed by him being released as he was their best defender. They put it down to the fact he must have had a League team lined up. Or they were going to sign a team of Hollywood Galacticos...

The reviews seem to be better than I was expecting so looks to be an ok signing for someone who'll be backup.

Yeah, he’s decent. Very good at Macc (RIP). Wouldn’t have minded him as a squad player at ours.

He likes his big units does Derek Adams. We have been too soft and lightweight since Parky dumped us, so I welcome that.

He is right sided so he will be pushing his fellow compatriot Paudie for that position

Our local journalists has dismissed the rumour today which makes sense as we got Gilliead instead. Can’t imagine Adams likes lazy players, we were never in for him anyway I don’t believe just one of these daft Twitter accounts that fly around.

You've dodged a bullet. He might have scored a nice goal early on which gets your hopes up but then will go completely missing for a while. Not a player you want in the trenches with you.

I wouldn't think he could play out wide. He's a luxury player to sit in the hole through the middle.

It’s exciting times, we’ve never had this sort of investment in the team before, Smurf and V2001 cost cutting so since the Championship days when we threw £1,000,000 to keep ourselves up when Horton first came in these are unusual times as we usually end up with the dregs no one wants!

It felt like we’d done Ok business, Wilson a decent signing and Martin but was merely solid, today we’ve really made two very very good signings and on paper makes us look very strong.

That said we’ve got to gel with so many changes and still need a couple of more strikers, get that right and a decent left winger and maybe just maybe we can do something finally.

If Bruno Andrade comes in on our wide pitch I’d be happy. Not sure how much is in those rumours. Would be tempted to go back to Will Swann as he looked to have something about him and then hopefully have a decent amount to get a good third striker option to cover Dave and Wilson. Shame we couldn’t get a tune out of Theo Robinson really.

Hard to say what will happen though, Benning, Jones and Johnson had been doing the rounds for ages whereas Pett and Aaron Martin for example were completely out the blue so the lack of strikers linked doesn’t mean much.
Andrade's not a 'chalk on his boots' kinda winger though, he often drifts inside and prefers playing more centrally.

Looks like after selling their keeper to Ipswich, Nerdford and the class of Nerdy2 are making a late swoop to take Vigouroux away from ourselves.

He should really be playing higher, but the lure of Peter Lims money bin maybe too much for him to turn down you wonder.

Think that move would have always been on the cards after selling Hladky. Probably be giving him about four times what any other club can afford in this division.

Short career, but I doubt our offer will be uncompetitive. Guess we’ll know shortly whether or not a few quid is worth more to him than avoiding playing for a club with a Sunday League set up.

Probably depends on how much ‘a few quid’ is. I would work at a dump if I was offered a decent pay rise.

It's drier than a fucking camel over here, no signings and just the one solitary rumour, I beg for something!

decent too because we will probably sign him on a free in 2 years time if Covolan doesn't work out

Yann Songo’o confirmed. Happy with that needed a midfielder enforcer for 4 years.

Delighted with this addition. It’s been a long, drawn-out saga, hasn’t it really.

Just need a Marc McNulty/Jordy Hiwula/Connor McAleny type striker in the building, and that’s the squad complete

I think you'll do the same way we played last season which might ruffle some feathers in Bradford honestly cause didnt Bowyer do the same with yous back when he managed Bradford and the fans hated it

Difference being; Derek wins games and Bowyer, well, didn’t.

Adams' reputation and what happened with Bowyer is why I wasn't really sold on the appointment. Since coming in, he's said all the right things about entertaining football, creating lots of chances, scoring goals etc so we'll just have to see.

Problem is Salfords idea of adding a few quid usually equates to a couple of grand a week over and above. Think they were paying Bruno Andrade something ridiculous for him to step down from Lincoln to go there as one example. Do agree about the setup though, the whole club is built on sand with little infrastructure but if you're a player and they want to chuck £4k+ a week at you (hypothetically speaking) then of course you take the money for a couple of years.

I think bruno andrade is a similar player to what Louis dodds was more a drifter kind of player playing the free role position behind the forward and not an out and out winger like amoo myrie Williams and a few others we have had.
