We've got Manasse Mampala on trial. Not sure anyone will know much about him though since he was previously with Everton's academy and then QPR. We've got 'two or three' players on trial but have since released one of those who remains un-named... so presumably that leaves us with one or two triallists, Mampala being one and Beech not knowing whether there is a second

Probably just being vague for the sake of being vague but 'one or two' is an odd thing to say when the identity of one of the triallists (or the only triallist depending how you read it) is known. Maybe it means we're in contact with a second but don't know if we can actually say he's on trial with us yet.

As it stands today we have 27 players in the first team squad + another 9 younger ones that ( most of them ) have played in cup competitions in a first team game. We do look fairly strong on paper -- But the old cliche'" You don't win anything on paper ". I'd like to think we are a lot stronger than the squad that played last season and with the addition of a competent striker, 1 more right back + a back up goalie -- We should be there. I reckon at least 4 maybe 5 will be offloaded and we run with a First team squad of 26/26.

Isn't this season a max of 20 players aged 22 and over plus as many U21s as you want? We have a squad of 18 grown ups and 4 U21s so far.

In particular Thomas from Barnsley who’s got plenty of recent championship experience and is still young. Clarke from Rotherham should also excel at L2 level despite not playing regularly for them previously.

And Harry Anderson has a promotion on his CV. Didn’t you also sign Coutts earlier this summer? He will add much needed experience.

I guess you could probably do with a prolific striker, well who wouldn’t want one, but I can’t see Rovers failing this season.

We signed him in L1 after he impressed on trial and he did pretty well for us in his first season where we reached the playoff final.

He's a converted CB playing in CM so has the physical attributes you want in this league but he's a bit slow and games can often pass him by. Can't fault his effort whilst with us.

A bit hit and miss, when he’s good he’s good when he’s bad he’s awful. L2 his level, maybe not one aiming as high as Exeter however.
