A very strange one. Most of us thought Fisher was going back to the National League. It was very telling that he was below Ben Seymour in the pecking order last season.

Fisher works hard but he’s a very limited striker, really. Scores the occasional goal and will give everything but, to be honest, he should have dropped down to the league below.

Could mean either ourselves or Tranmere for that matter are interested in him though suspect he may have had to lower his wage demands certainly for us at least. We do have a number of former teammates of his in our squad so could equally have been along just to watch them I guess.

He was in talks at one point from what I heard and we are going to sign a winger and striker so would be good if we could get it done but last I’d heard we couldn’t agree terms. Maybe with no club he’s had a lower expectation.

It's more that EFL Digital will run and host the websites for free (we got one when we were promoted), and they just make money from ads, I think. It's very good for clubs, but sometimes you'll get errors like that mentioned above.

Anthony Gordon played for Everton yesterday, so I don't think he'll be seen in a Swindon shirt any time soon...

We've just brought in Dennis Politic from Bolton on a season long loan. Think from what have seen said of him by Bolton fans before he's meant to be quite highly rated though coming back from a bad injury.

Yeah he’s very very good but he’s coming back from injury. Surprised it’s a full season. A lot of Bolton fans think he’s good enough for us. Was the one bright spark when we came down from league 1. If he hadn’t got injured I think he’d be in the championship this season. You guys will love him.

The club to be fair have done a great job keeping their business under wraps this summer certainly compared to previous ones. Nobody had any idea on this and DC is excellent at giving the vague answers when being asked about targets.

He can do a bit of everything. Incredibly confident. Can take men on, really good technique - takes set pieces and can finish. Can play wide or behind the striker. He loves a long shot. He scored from the half way line when he was on loan at Salford when he was about 18. Has got everything if he is fit.

I genuinely think he’s good enough for us but Evatt said he’s missed a whole year so he wants him to get back up to speed playing proper football week in week out. Im pretty sure he’s in our long term plans.

Doesnt have to move house to come to us I guess and SPL football is pub level I guess!

Excited by this one... just need that striker now... if we can get that right then it will have been a positive window.
