We had him on loan a few years ago, steady enough. He is a Bantams fan and wanted to stay permanently, the manager wanted him, however the chairman at the time, Rahic, said he wasn't good enough, big fall out behind the scenes

He's been here on loan as well but I don't remember him, bit of a versatile back up for the defence, it'll do for me.

Is Callum Guy still heading to Wrecsam?
That rumour seems to have gone quieter.

But don’t be surprised if something is going on the background. Carlisle United have form for waiting till late on deadline day to sell players so they “don’t have time” to bring in replacements.

Can play anywhere along the back but best at RB. He’s usually solid, was his poorest season last year but I won’t blame him for that. Not amazing going forward but chips in with a couple goals at the back post. Think he’ll do well providing he plays most weeks.

Carlisle are close to signing winger Jordan Gibson from Sligo Rovers.

Formerly of Bradford City. Can’t imagine he was brilliant for you.

Looked like he had something about him but very very raw. Certainly not football league quality when we had him but then again I would've said that about Omari Patrick and he did pretty well for you.

What kind of winger is he? Quick and beats players or touch and cross?

Nothing of note. It disappears. It’s what this club does. Zero ambition.

We also got quite a bit of money last year as part of the Dean Henderson deal. Add ons for when he played for MU, then when he debuted for England.
They’d probably say it disappeared due to COVID
Not to mention the money we got from Leeds for McCarron and Galloway... with McCarron close to appearing in the Premier League you imagine there may be add-ons for that... then there's the sell-on fee for Sam Cosgrove, all in all we must have raked in over a million in transfer fees in the last two years so why have we still got a 'bottom six' budget?

Even though we've made some decent signings under Beech it's clear we are still not competing financially with anyone else in this division. We sign players who have been rejected elsewhere but who Beech can see are undervalued but if they do well then they leave describing our contract offers as derisory. Are EWM's successors calling in the debt or something? It's a mystery.

Be surprised if we've still got Guy and Armer by the time the transfer window closes.

There’s a whole host of players that have gone to Rovers with decent reputations only to end up piss poor. Wonder why?
Yep. Gas fans told us George Williams was shocking when he signed but he’s been fantastic so far.

Our young forward, George Lloyd is set to join a League 2 team on loan. No idea who.

The lad has a fantastic work rate but hasn’t scored many as expected since turning pro following a great youth career. Would be good to see him get some games.

We’ve now decimated the strongest area of our team, the defence. 4 have left since last season and only 1 has came in. We now have 4 defenders contracted to the club, a day before the window closes. Yet we have loads of attackers but nearly all of them arent really good enough.

We need to bring in 2 defenders minimum tomorrow, plus a Callum Guy replacement for when that is confirmed.

It’s going to be a struggle for us this season, it really is. Can’t see how we can stay up as things stand, but hopefully tomorrow will bring a bit of hope (not Hallam).

Do Carlisle get some form of withdrawal symptom when they’ve not signed one of our former players for a while? Gibson, will try dribble past the entire team yet ultimately run into the first guy and lose the ball, the sort of player who looks great on YouTube when you can clip his few good bits but at the end of the day wasn’t good enough, surprised he’s got a team at this level. Also expect his Dad to chip in on Twitter when the critics come out.

I've heard we have Scott Wagstaff training with us.

Also set to sign a CB on loan from Millwall:

Wagstaff would be okay. We still need a right-sided player now the Callum Harriott deal is dead in the water.

No idea why we’d want to sign the Millwall kid unless Jackett wants to go to 3 at the back or Happe is on his way. If we can get a fee for Happe I’ll be laughing my moobs off.

Will try and dribble through the opposition but more often than not trips up over his own feet. Will be interesting to see if he's matured during his time in Ireland.

The one positive about having only 4 defenders contracted to the club is that we're unlikely to line up 5-3-2 again.

we are one of 3 teams linked with Leeds United youngster Robbie Gotts who was at Salford last season. The other 2 are Oldham and Motherwell.

I’m not sure it will be that frantic. There seems to be a lot of players being released from their contract making it possible for clubs to sign them outside of the window shutting.

Jordan Stevens (Leeds) joining Barrow, was poor here last season for us having been warned by Swindon fans, Bryce Hossanah another former loanee going to Wrexham, would’ve had him back here.

Didn't really expect it to have been us but glad it isn't. Definitely not what we're looking for.

Edit - meant to quote the Port Vale signing there.

Underwhelmed by that I have to say and doesn’t look the type that’s going to unseat big names like James Wilson or challenge Rodney or Proctor. Have to see but seems like we missed out on a couple and have just taken a body.

Yeah Stevens was gash after a decent debut.
