Adam’s even said ‘well he’s no Lee Angol’ when asked who he is, oh dear!

The thing with him is he has had success for other clubs at this level and could easily see him scoring elsewhere but he's just not worked at Vale. A lot of Vale fans remember him being utterly useless when we first had him on loan and so he was on a short leash from the off. Never suited the Askey style of play and while he improved a bit under DC still not really been worth his contract.

Port Vale shithousing us for Guthrie, respect but next time you have a Lee Mills or Mark Marshall we’ll be lurking in the shadows again. It’s a long old game between us two big tinpotters and it won’t end until one of us goes out of business…

That Lee Mills one was a particular kick in the nads as that was right before the start of the season. Marshall was strange as he actually left telling us he wanted to move south and ended up with you so geography wasn’t his strong point.

Has he gone yet??

I’m just hoping Kiwomya has Theo mixed up with someone like Tom Elliot; but he hasn’t, has he?

In fairness we got a million quid for Lee Mills. Trouble is we spent half of it on Peter fucking Beadle

Anyone else's local newspaper livestreaming deadline day (or as we're calling it, fingers crossed guy doesn't leave day)?

Gime Toure is in the dressing room as I type this, despite not being in the squad. Chris Beech is apparently on the phone.

We tend to put release clauses in our player contracts the moment they sign one that puts them over the age of 24 when it expires. If they're signed up to a long term contract which expires when they're 23 or younger; we want our own valuation met. Hence why we won't sell Dale for less than £1 million but a £500K clause for Kirk was met and accepted.

Given they're similar to us, Exeter probably operate the same way as we do.
£500k to Blackpool by the sounds of it!

Our first team getting bent over in the pizza cup and signing Theo Robinson an hour later, classic banter from us.

We rejected that earlier this month from them so I'll be very surprised if it's that little but he's been on strike ever since. Wouldn't surprise me if we've budged down our initial demands a little but very surprised if we've just gone down to the original bid.

We've signed Hayden Hackey on loan from Middlesbrough.

I swear that means we have to sell players to fit the embargo but I'm not sure, very confusing as to who actually counts as a professional player as we have a lot of youngers who hadn't made an appearance until this season.

I’d take a prime Mills over a million any day, although a million in the late 90’s was big money in division one. Probably similar to championship clubs that spend £15 million on someone who gets them 10 goals these days. He was on his way to Sheffield United when we came in with a last minute offer, great days when we could ‘out muscle’ the likes of Sheffield United. Although it helped he was a big Wednesday fan.

Theo Robinson? WHAT A SIGNING THAT IS! Absolute battered our defence...in 2007.

Is that Lee Turnball fella still with us? He needs showing the door sharpish. Dreadful.

Not sure, it was from Peter O'Rourke, or one of the other reliable Twitter accounts.

Stevenage have signed Max Melbourne on loan from us until January. Not sure how he faired at Walsall in the second half of last season but he's even further down the pecking order here now - 5th choice CB and 4th choice LB so there was no point keeping him despite our low squad numbers albeit he got some game time in the opening handful of games.

It'll be the last we see of him so hopefully he performs well and gets a move somewhere off the back of the loan spell. He's got another day or so of Covid isolation I think.

As for Gotts, I've seen a lot about him being a good L2 signing but I'm not 100% sure on that. Poor here at L1 level but he didn't seem to pull up any trees at Salford either?

Will Forrester on loan from Stoke until January not available for a few weeks due to a ankle injury though, only 20 and I expect cover.

Richard Nartey on loan from Burnley until the end of the season aswell, heard he’s pretty good and I hope so because I reckon he will replace Rawson in the team for Saturday.

A bit risky trying to solve our defensive problems by signing two young players, purely speculation but I reckon we were after somebody who’s got L1/2 experience and we’ve missed out, Clough been on about a specific deal that’s been ongoing for a few week and it seems unlikely these two fit the bill.
