I'd heard the left sided defender was a fall back option if we failed to get one or both strikers

Amrit Bansal-McNulty joins Crawley on loan until January.

21 year old midfielder from QPR.

I honestly have no idea about him. I do wonder why we have singed a young midfielder when it's a back to goal striker we need (plus centre halfs while ours are injured).

No new striker for us, we've seemingly been knocked back multiple times for different strikers today according to DC, ack, never mind.

Wish they’d just put us out of our misery - wanna go bed!

They're certainly dragging it out from the teaser. Probably leaving it until about 04:00 to avoid the replies.

Think they’ve set the announcement for 12am via the Twitter auto-tweet function.

Absolute twats - no need! Unless there’s a twist in the tale! Robinson has definitely signed, I just wonder if there’s another signing to soften the blow.

Wishful thinking.

Interesting to see how he does for you. Seemed to be quite highly-rated by QPR and from the reports when he signed on loan for Torquay thought he sounded like another Ilias Chair but he quickly went from starting on his debut to not even being on the bench within a couple of weeks as don't think the NL was quite his level at the time. Seemed to do better in NLS on loan at Dartford though not long afterwards so likely improved since. Small build, fairly lively, decent footwork is all I remember.

Theo Robinson is hardly a bad signing, especially for a backup striker. He's not done too bad whenever he's been. He didn't do great at Port Vale but is it surprising? Inconsistent L2 strikers aren't going to excel in a terrible team.

He'll do just fine at Bradford

Number ten shirt still left vacant.

Lee Angol expected to be out for 3 months.

Suspect Adams will be well backed (financially) in January - depending where we are.

Fair to say Robinson has a lot to prove. We can only hope he can be arsed to prove the doubters wrong.

Attackers: Cook, Lavery and Robinson (Angol to return in 3 months)

Eisa, Vernam, Gilliead, Cooke, Crankshaw, Evans.

Still plenty of options - I think we’ll be fine!

I had seen on Twitter some Bradford fans had been talking themselves into thinking Bahamboula was joining you which probably hasn’t helped. Would say the chances of that were always unlikely but with that Oldham owner also could say it wouldn’t be completely impossible either for them to flog him for very little.

Strange logic that if you don't sign a forward then get another left sided centre back in?

We've got 9 defenders now, 6 centre mids, 6 forwards and 2 keepers which is a pretty big squad. Don't think we really needed anyone. We've got plenty of numbers. I'd have liked a better calibre striker in over the summer but we have to go with what we have. Each of the forwards offers something slightly different so I'm not too worried. They've all shown some promise except Cullen who hasn't really played.

Yeah, we're doing the tedious-as-fuck build up again. Hooray.

Still grimmacing over Chandy doing a Terry to photo bomb the trophy celebrations at Ashton Gate.

We are so shit.

Other more competent clubs are making multiple signings.

Yet these amateurs at CUFC with their decimated defence are struggling. Probably trying to scrimp on the odd 50p here and there. Fucking shambles of a finished club .

Even Steven Pressley had a better transfer window with us than this one, absolutely shambolic.

And yes our club really is steptoe and son like and how we are not playing in the non-league with these shitty old fuddy duddy owners is quite miraculous.

We at least needed a proper striker up front and failed to get one in.

Lol- that ‘intro’ video of Theo is about the most movement on the pitch he’ll give you. Absolutely dreadful player.

I only saw the odd mention of Bahamboula - of which all were tongue in cheek.

My hope is that we're not done yet. We've finalised those deals that needed to be finalised by midnight but transfer deadline day isn't really when most of our signings happen anyway, some of our best signings have come afterwards.

Glad Theo has gone a colossal waste of a wage and should never have been signed in the first place.

He was only signed because we put all our eggs in the Maynard basket before last season, missed out on Jamile Matt who we’d agreed a deal with because we stalled on it for Maynard and ended up with Theo!

Was poor in his first spell, but mostly terrible and lazy last season, the fact despite our awful form he was culled from the registered squad in January says it all (but got back in after injury ruled Visser out for the season).

He did score against Bradford I think so maybe why they’ve signed him!

That said all isn’t lost, he does have a decent record at some clubs but just wasn’t right for us and didn’t suit us. Fans are angry he stole a wages with the kids but don’t blame him for that as you wouldn’t leave without a new job and not get paid.

Sounds like in desperation we were trying to get Benji Kimpioka last night, last seen running around like a headless chicken for Torquay.

Seems to be doing OK here!
Aye, but you asked “There’s a whole host of players that have gone to Rovers with decent reputations only to end up piss poor. Wonder why?”

Who signed them, who made them piss poor, who assembled the most unbalanced squad we’ve possible ever seen?

Ask Ben!

Evans sounds like Westbrooke mk2 don't you think gassy
Ironically that was exactly my thoughts whilst reading the analysis.

It’ll be interesting to see Zain in L2 now he is staying. Known as one of the better L1 midfielders, if he wants to go to L1/Championship football then he’ll need one hell of a season with us now

I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was as bad as the Presley where he tore apart a team that constantly challenged in this league and replaced them with some truly awful players. Even the trialists were the worst quality we’ve ever had.

It’s not only him, though. I don’t know the ins and outs of your recruitment, but Bennett, Nichols and a few of Joey’s signings have all gone to mush.
