I've only ever seen Upson via iFollow but it looks like a win-win for all parties. He's from East Anglia so can move closer to home. We get a player off the wage bill who seems to be fading as a 90-minute contributor and unlikely to get much game time before his contract is up. Tisdale gets a known quantity he has worked with before for the short-term task of keeping Stevenage up.

Have to say he hasnt put a foot wrong here and we are pleased to get him.
Other than all the fines he’s got at Walsall for being late, yeah he’s done well for you on pitch so it makes sense, hopefully he continues to improve definitely a good player in there.

Talk from the Bolton end that Politic is staying until the end of the season with the option to make it permanent (he's under 24).

"Ohhh Carol do you know whats he worth"

Would be delighted if we can get him permanent.

Seems a lot of talk about a 6 figure bid for a striker scoring goals at this level floating around but no idea who?

We've just re-signed Michael Bostwick on loan from Burton until the end of the season! Delighted with that.
Unfortunately, he has terrible back and calf issues now, which is why he's managed less than around 50% of appearances in the last three seasons.

So we've been linked with signing Bradford midfielder Elliot Watt. Is he any good, Bradford fans?

We've supposedly got Brandon Comley training with us and Tyrese Omotoye was watching our game last night, any thoughts Orient or Swindon fans?

Our fans are very split on him. You've got those who can appreciate the technical footballer he is and you've got those who think he's shit because they prefer the hard bastard midfielder who flies into tackles but couldn't pass wind.

Personally I rate him. I think his passing range is good, particularly his long passing, and he links up well with our other technical players. He's a lower league Jorginho type player if you want a comparison.

What lets him down is he almost tries too hard to force things and ends up giving away possession needlessly. He's also quite slow so as soon as someone goes past him he's in the book.

Weirdly, I think he'd thrive in a higher division where the ball is on the floor more and he's got more technical players around him.

Just my opinion but I think if was looking at anyone from Walsall offhand the only one who stands out for me in an attacking sense would be Rory Holden but think he’s spent a lot of the season out injured hasn’t he?

Omotoye never really featured for us. God knows why we signed him.

Spot on description of Elliott is that

Looks like we've missed out on Trevor Carson again, off to Morecambe instead.

Yeah what ID said. He was very fast but never got anything like enough minutes to make a judgement. I think Orient are seeing the same this season with his loan spell there. Perhaps he should be loaned to a National league side who might actually give him some minutes!

Omotoye has talent but is extremely raw. He has alot to learn, like where to run at certain times, when to run, when to release a through ball at the right time, when to shoot and when to press and not to press.

He started one league game against Harrogate in August, we lost, didn't play well and you could sense he was a bit out of his depth and needed time. He played in the Papa Johns Trophy 4 times and each time it was the same - has talent and flair but needs someone to give him time, throw him in and let him learn the hard way.

Jackett lost patience with him quickly it seemed - He was never thrown on in the final minutes when we was chasing a game, Jackett preferred to stick with Drinan and Smith and maybe bring on another midfielder or winger instead.

He was signed on a season long loan but we was all expecting it to be cut short, because its clear Jackett doesn't rate him.

He's only 18/19 but he needs a manager to basically put him in for 10-15 games to help Him learn.

Not sure the other camp (to which I’m in) are looking for a hard bastard type at all. For someone who’s game is all about his passing, he loses the ball far too often by over complicating things when they don’t need to be.
I think the ‘he’d do better in a higher league’ is overly generous, a get out of jail card that excuses his ball retention (ignoring his speed as mentioned and his inability to tackle) based on him being a hard worker and a seemingly decent lad. Even for us, Cooke’s better and Sutton’s better. Is he a decent L2 midfielder, for sure but someone significantly over rated time given these links to higher clubs.

Omotoye is now confirmed. Half season loan.

looks like we’ve replaced one loan teenager who isn’t ready for League 2 football (Brad Young) with another loan teenager who isn’t ready for League 2.

If this is Holdsworth’s idea of strengthening the worst attack in the football league, then we are screwed.

Josh McPake signs on loan from Rangers for the rest of the season. Was excellent for Harrogate against us last season so happy with this one.

If he can replicate the form shown against us he will be a decent addition. Believe he hasn’t played since September .

Our loanee keeper, Blondy Naa Noukeu, has been recalled by Stoke.
One way or another that’s bad news for you.
Call me if you get upset by it and need to talk.

Seems to be some rumours that Devante Rodney is leaving us. Interesting to see if the case. He looked a real prospect last season and really thought he would push on but has been well off it this season.

He is one of those I think is better as a wide forward mind which doesn’t fit our formation.

Joel Lynch signs a new 18 month contract at Crawley. He has been on a month to month dealthis season but when he has played he has looked a step above league 2...except for a sending off after four minutes.

Pleased by this.

Ryan Johnson also on his way to link up with his old boss in Dave Challinor. I’m guessing the reviews from Vale won’t be favourable.

Ryan Johnson hasn’t really made the step up, he looked all over the place on his debut at Northampton and he hasn’t shown much promise. He did in fairness have a good game ironically against Hartlepool but they only had Cullen up front who isn’t exactly pacey and likely to hurt him.

He has been disappointing but if he leaves goes with best wishes just doesn’t look up to the standard for League Two.

What formation do you play? Hartlepool fans reckon he’s well suited to a back three but struggled massively in a back four - just wondered if that played a part as well as the step up?

We play a back 3 (3-5-2)

Ahh he’s just been rubbish then in his best position :(
He will do a job at National League as he did for Hartlepool (if it’s a loan for example) he just seemed to struggle with the step up in terms of the pace of the game. On the left of the three wingers targeted him early season and he struggled with that.

Id say it would be a good move for all parties, we need a dominant centre half that’s younger than Legge, he needs games and he’s done it at the level your at this season and won promotion.
