Noticed Matt Preston was absolutely superb today against West Ham, him going to Vale in the summer would make sense.

Not sure we’ve been linked?

Interestingly Garlick has revealed both our cash sales include clauses (Rodney and Johnson) such as sell on and success based. Stockport promotion may make us a bit on Johnson.

David Flitcroft managed Matt Preston at both the stags and Swindon.

I'm not aware of any links and guessing he's a free agent in the summer so I presume this is what Conker is getting at.

Are you sure you've got the right Longstaff? I agree he looked better than L1, never mind L2, level in his debut season and he did score that goal. But he didn't feature (or shine) much last season and couldn't get in the Aberdeen team this season - hence the move to a "lower" level.

How can you rate him above George Maris???

Now big brother Sean has been pulling up a few more trees and getting some game time for Newcastle. He looked quite competent for 60 minutes before being pulled off when Wessi joined the fray in our FA Cup match.

Yes, Matt Longstaff. I don’t base it on that goal as I didn’t see it. What little I’ve seen of him on the tele he’s looked competent in the PL. I can’t speak for the loan spell at Aberdeen but we don’t sign players with 14 PL appearances, at least not until they are ageing pros.

I stand by what I said. On current reputation alone (i.e. current stature of club to current stature of player), this is one of the best signings we’ve ever made. He has a lot to prove but he still shouldn’t be playing at Mansfield.

Gotta imagine Luke Hendrie has somewhere lined up after being released here and Bradford have since flogged their CB, potential move?

Great 'second' debut for us last night playing right back at Stevenage.

Was he playing CB for you then, given that comment about us flogging a CB?

Good to see him back home. As you will probably be aware, his dad John is a club legend here.

Yeah he was playing as a third CB for us, we’ve Jamie Sterry at RB so he couldn’t get a look in there.

I just cannot imagine him playing centre back. I've only ever seen him play right back.

Last night he supplied 6 crosses, compare that with 10 all season from the player he replaced Oscar Threlkeld.

Hopefully Adams sticks with Hendrie and doesn't bring his adopted son Threlkeld back in

He was a good player for us with the limited game time he had, none of us wanted or expected him to leave but he wanted some guaranteed playing time so would've been harsh to keep him here on the bench.

Glad he's playing well for you.
He got a bit of a rough deal at Pools if you ask me.

Davide Rodari leaves Crawley for a loan to Isthmian league side Worthing. Good for him as he isn't getting near the team at the moment but he dies have an eye for goal.

Good side are Worthing. They are looking to get into the National league south and get about 1,000 people per game.

It's along the coast from Brighton.

Sounds like Mark Cullen is already on his way out, been talks with other clubs and we'll find out more next week.

Didn't mind Cullen, took him a while to get fit, had been asked to lead the line on his own at times and that just isn't his game, I'd imagine Non League bound then?

Reece Grego-Cox has been loaned by Crawley to Barnet for the rest of the season.

Good player is Reece but needs more game time than we can give him to recover from a serious injury.

I know non-league fans get upset at people saying this but at that level he will tear it up. Makes sense to go there as he may well still have links in that area from his time at Blackpool.

Hope things work out well for him though. Always liked him at Vale but he just couldn’t get fit and also in fairness we never played to his strengths.

I think his family home is in the Blackpool area, he struggled with fitness for us too, never looked able to complete 90 minutes, never let us down though.

Sam Matthews joins Aldershot from Crawley on loan for the rest of the season.

To lose one attacker is unfortunate, to lose two is careless. Three! I think we may have money troubles.

Depending on how long it takes him get up to speed could be a decent addition there for Walsall.

This is the thing mate if he was he wouldnt be in league 2 he scored 9 and assisted 10 for Cardiff and got player of the season just 2 years ago.Half of that player would walk this division be interesting to see if he still has it if he has it could be a great signing all Walsall fans wish DC all the best as well must be something unthinkable thats happened for him not to be coming back in the near future my heart goes out to him whatever it is.
