Devante Rodney was dynamite for Halifax but hasn't really done it anywhere else.

As others have said, he's strong and lightening quick but just lacks a bit of nous.

Looks like Peterborough want one of our youngsters Hector Kyprianou:

Would be a good deal for both parties, Hector is talented with alot of potential but he is still learning the game and averages one or two sometimes big errors per game, which with time and probably better coaching he could cut out.

The deal would also mean we would free up space and funds for a more experienced central midfielder to come in, which we need to play the way Wellens wants us too.

I'd be very happy with that.
He's still a young lad learning the trade, but he's been given extended runs in the first team and has never looked that good in my opinion.
Probably a League 1 player in there somewhere with coaching and a few more years (and muscle) on him, but I'd be pleased to see him go for a fee, and then hopefully we invest and get the enforcer we've been crying out for.

I’d drive him there myself. Obviously a reasonable technical player with a rangy build and the ability to do a bit of everything. Been trying to figure out why he’s so mediocre, and I think I’ve cracked it: he plays with zero personality on the pitch. There’s no drive or determination; no will to impose himself on a game. Take the money and run.

Dale fans views on Callum Camps?
Good player. Attacking midfielder who knows where the goal is. Personally rate him higher than Sarcevic. Came through our youth team at the same time as Andy Cannon. Wish him every success if he signs for County, except against us...

Fantastic player and too good for league two! Though I know he's from around here so that helps in attracting him.
Over 200 games for us, mostly in league one and I'd say one of our better players when we were up there. Has the ability to score audacious goals, especially free kicks like this
Which on re-watching might not seem to special haha... but that was pretty much the last kick of the game so felt mental when being there. There are plenty of other examples. Anyway, great player. Was sad to see him go when he left us.

Toumani Diagouraga signs for Dale on a 1 year deal. Experienced defensive midfielder. The sort of player we've missed since Matt Lund left. At 35 I do wonder if he can play each game but according to Wiki he played 40 times for Morecambe last season so sounds promising.

Rumours of three signings tomorrow to coincide with the kit release. Two that have been linked are Odusina and Smallwood but could be bollocks.

As well continuing to be linked to Camps we’ve also been linked to Akil Wright from York.

He did well for us in the covid season got about 13 goals in a really bad side.

Be great signings. Fingers crossed. Just hope they don't pull a typical City and have Threlkeld in all three shirts :fish:

Aye, hoping for Ritchie Smallwood, Timi Odusina and possibly Vernam/Watt signing new deal.

Disappointing that there hasn’t been anything announced this week (thus far), what with it being the final week for purchasing ST’s at the discounted rate. You do get the feel that the club have purposely delayed announcements so that they coincide with tomorrows shirt launch.

we had Wright on loan about 4 or 5 seasons ago when he was with Fleetwood - he was ok - but nothing special - i'd be suprised if he was good enough for the EFL unless he's improved a lot.

We’ve finally been linked with a CB - Joe Lewis from Torquay looks like he’s potentially on his way.

He’s out of contract but 22 so we’ll have to pay compo.

I've never see him be anything other than utterly dominant against us for a string of clubs. Scored a couple against us over the years too.

Can only assume it's something we've done to offend him as he seems rather average otherwise!

Bradbury the Halifax defender we were linked with gone to Cheltenham. Doesn’t seem to be anyone immediate in the pipeline, though suggestion deal already done for a winger. New home shirt well received but would be nice being modelled by another new recruit.

oddly there's nothing on the Cheltenham site at present - or their club twitter - and they lost their manager 2 days ago.

York have announced that Akil Wright is leaving for the FL.

Pretty certain it's us, I'm pleased. We need someone who can play DM if Croasdale is out and the York fans seem to rate him very highly. It's not an eye catching signing, I don't think we're in the market for eye catching, we just want to build on our solid base. We're not going to be blowing big money on players like some clubs but we've got a good budget and we'll try and us it wisely and maximise what we have.

A defender also looking likely, most likely Joe Lewis from Torquay so that would be 4 we've signed who are all coming from National League pyramid with us. Very, very sustainable.

Interesting that the Hartlepool chairman has said their's is a top 7 budget, whereas ours has been described as top 10.

ha ha - we've had plenty of them
You won,t feel letr down then, lol

Timi is a decent player, But he will take a least 1 risk each game and does get caught out.
Will definatley keep his defensive team mates on thier toes.

Why would you be interested in our budget, I,m sure we are not interested in yours.

People in the NatLge think there is little difference between that and thebottom half of the EFL, We,ll see.

Proof is in the pudding, let's see where we all land when the transfer window closes, then pick the bones out of it, Stockport could have THE top budget in this league and still describe it as a 'top 10 budget' if they were being coy about it.
