Stockport County.
Neil Byrne has been pictured in a Tranmere shirt at the training ground. Looks like a picture ready for a twitter announcement. All but official by the looks.
Lad on our forum who knows him says it's done.

Bogle confirmed at Newport now this Byrne stuff. Honestly can’t be arsed with this season already.

No one seems to want to be at the club at the minute.

Can’t say I know too much about Neil Byrne. Thoughts Pools fans?

Very good signing. No way on earth we should be selling. One of our most consistent performers last season.

Can’t imagine the fee will be a lot either as we’re not known for spending argue amounts of money on fees for players. Sounds promising though!

Just seen the pic of him in Tranmere kit.

Reckon we need about 12+ players for the season, does not look good.

On the other hand Hartlepool getting a bit of cash for Bogle, someone that looks to have been on a downward spiral for the last four years or so might not be a bad bit of business if it is reinvested wisely.

He's solid, a 7/10 every week, nothing really stands out about him but no major weaknesses either.

Really bad this from the club, reckon I've done more reviews on Pools players recently than Trip Advisor gets on its hotels for the year.

That would be true, if we were in any danger of Raj reinvesting it that is

Surprised we weren’t in for him with DC managing him at Fylde and with you guys.

Maybe we asked and were told no because it would piss off the fanbase even more than him going to Tranmere.

I don't think Raj cares who he deals with as long as he gets some coin. He is a Tory at the end of the day.

We have signed Jon Nolan from Bristol Rovers on a 1 year deal. Looks to have suffered with injuries lately but from what i can remember, he was a good player a couple of years ago.
I know he’s been injured quite a lot the past 2/3 seasons, but he was quality when with us! We used to call him the Ginger Pirlo down the Meadow.

Sounds like he’s changed a lot since he was with us, but he had every quality attribute a midfielder should have whilst with us. He had set pieces, passing, crossing and most importantly goals when with us. No idea what he’s like nowadays but sounds like he’s not the player he once was (think he had his best season with us). If he finds that form again, then you’ve got yourselves one incredible midfielder! Think you’ll enjoy him at Prenton Park and Mellon will get him playing.

We've gone from 0 keepers to 2 keepers in 48 hours - 23 year old ex-Newcastle Jake Turner joins the club. Has had loan spells at Morecambe and Colchester United in the past few years

I thought Turner was decent with us last season. We had both Turner and Sam Hornby on loan at various points of the season as cover, both played a fair few games and though we've now signed Hornby, I wouldn't have been disappointed to sign either of them this summer.

Twitter is a total cesspit mate, I'm on it but very very rarely post on it. I used to think it gave a good gauge of input from fans but in the main it's just sad little kids and weird middle aged men who have nothing better to do than try and wind as many people up as possible on it.

Isnt this exactly what the Town End Forum is? Its full of opinionated people who's only experience of matchday is watching on Ifollow!

I liked him and hes a good player at this level. Very, very disappointed in the ambition of some of these guys though. Sometimes I really hate what football has become. Its fair enough that clubs like Wimbledon went from the Southern League to the Premier League as they did it on a model of producing their own players or, more often than not, finding them from other like minded clubs. The likes of Crawley, Forest Green and Salford that are never likely to have any kind of meaningful fan base just throwing money to get them up the leagues is all wrong. At least, to my knowledge, Salford havent said that their ambition is to get the the Premier League. The owners of Crawley must be delusional

Swindon's captain last season!

Seems he was released and we've got him on a freebie. Not sure if that means we have splashed out on his wages or he was available and we are short after Tunnicliffe left. You can't be that bad if you're captain of a side that finished where Swindon did last season so I'm going to be hopeful until someone pees on my firework.

In other news.

James Balagizi! Guess what? H_____ R____

Attacking midfielder (18) on loan from Liverpool (!). Betsy gave him his debut for England u15 and possibly England u18.

I know we spoke with him earlier in the summer, heard that Charlton also wanted him too. I'd have welcomed him had he joined us, but we have IMO enough CBs already. Looks like we've turned attention to Curtis Davies but I think thats unlikely.

Anyway Looks like Crawley NFT are throwing a few quid at this!

Conroy has done 2 ACLs over the last few years. Rumours he threw his toys out the pram a few times. I’d have liked him to stay but he was probably one of the top earners. Payne will be off today as well

We desperately need a good L2 defender.

Cannot be arsed with playing the midfield-striker combo in centre back again all season.
