It’ll be good to see him sign for you, you’re doing absolute wonders this transfer window on an absolute shoestring

I think it’s more the pull of the club. Who wouldn’t want to play at San Sixfields?

Feel like Odimayo is very much the utility man for across the back, but we still need another starting CB, Sherring seems like he would very much fit the bill!

Seems like we are just one of many teams after it but feel like we have to be considered in the going for it category.

Turns out the triallist keeper who played yesterday was Everton youngster Harry Tyrer and not Mark Howard.

Have some doubts about having an untried youngster as no 1 keeper. We also have a Stoke young goalie on trial apparently.

Sestonpoolie has been knocking it out the park with the rumours he's been getting fed, don't think he's missed yet? 3/3 so far reckoned him and Cooke who left Bradford were next up?

Neill Byrne was on the bench for our first friendly in Portugal, got a flight home and was in a Tranmere kit the next day so I suppose anything is possible these days?
4 out of 4,thank you very much.

One of the more reliable itk posters on a Rovers forum has suggested Crawley have also made an enquiry for James Norwood.

Knight Percival on the evidence of last season at Rovers is both past his best and lacking in fitness. A defensive pairing with Clarke is just too slow. Could do a job as a squad player but no more.

I would be surprised if we hadn't made an enquiry.

Decent forward who grew up not far from here.

Doesn't mean we could afford him and Doesn't he would come even if we could.

Other news; Jordan Tunnicliffe signed for Wrexham. Good luck to him but I hope Wrexham muck it up again. That divisions longest serving team...maybe ever.

One thing is for sure, teams like Bradford, Salford, Mansfield etc may need to complete their missions of going up this year because when Wrexham come up their spending is likely to get even more mental. There’s been some big spending in that league over the years but that lot royally take the piss

It was suggested that one of the reasons the Bristol Rovers deal didn’t happen was due to the size/terms of the contract. His family live Eastbourne way, so if you can offer him 2 years or about average pay for a year, it might happen.

Just said in the L1 forum, but Andrade lost his way when he went to Salford for the money when we sold him rather than bettering himself. Needs a manager to give him a good shake and get him back on track, he's only 28 I think.
That's always the risk with dropping a division or two to a lowlier but wealthier club. I don't blame players so much for doing it as there isn't much financial stability on offer for players at this level and if the club they go to are ambitious and they do well there and get promoted then it's not necessarily an impedence to their career, however if it doesn't work out then these clubs that had the money to give you a lucrative contract also have the money to replace you if they feel they need to change things up, and getting released from a Salford, a Wrexham or a Stockport* can leave you struggling for a decent contract and a club at a decent level to get things going again.

*while they were a non-league club, I'm not saying these clubs are of a similar size but they were all offering contracts to players who you would have expected to see at least one division higher.

Apparently about to drop 500k for Alfie May.

Crazy. I think our biggest ever fee paid was 300k for two players.

McKirdy hinting Payne will be signing his contract here but wouldn't surprise me if he was just attention seeking.

Hope we get Sol Bamba in.

Bamba as player//coach would be brilliant! If, and it’s a bit if, McKirdy, Payne and Reed all stay, I’d say we’d be stronger than last season.

Need a decent striker, though - as everyone does. I like the look of the new CBs, Shade could be an improvement on Egbo. We have 2 decent keepers. A couple of yesterday’s triallists looked good at first glance.

He’s up there with one of the worst signings we’ve made, which is hilarious because we’ve had a few.

A fair amount saying Callum Camps will sign for us today. One or two also saying Vit Jaros a keeper from Liverpool (probably a loan) who had an absolute stormer against us last season when he was at Notts despite being on the end of a 3-0 defeat. But by the sounds of things he wasn't that good for them overall.

Also a rumour going round League Two at the moment that Hartlepool are shite and a laughing stock. Don't know how true it is, just a whisper.

Hartlepool are still 5/1 to go down
We've got them on the final day. Their fans sent death threats to Challinor's wife on twitter etc the gimps, burned Challinor shirts etc.

They do this creepy thing where they do fancy dress on the final away game. They're hilariously going as Judas etc.

It'd be an absolute honour to send them down or for them to already be down that day with the daft twats all dressed as Ketchup bottles etc.

Cooke would be a good signing for anyone at this level, IMO.

Canavan is steady enough, on the proviso you can keep him fit.
