Not transfer related as such but Jamie Devitt scored a hat-trick in our recent friendly against Kendal. Seems to have been featuring strongly in pre-season so far, which bodes well for him getting a contract. Could really use someone with his guile and expereince in midfield so I'm hoping it all works out for him, and us.

Alan Nixon has linked us with Toto Nsiala at Fleetwood.

Toto ended up being a proper weird one for us, at times he looked a player who'd stick his head, body on anything but more often than not he'd be a disaster on legs, chief fuckup of the defence.

Love the analogy, he linked the same player with us last January (he didn’t sign obvs).

The worst defender we faced last season, when he was at Ipswich. In fact one of the worst defensive performances I've ever seen.

He was flogged soon after.

My insider said it looks like it's happening.
If true,a great signing, the lad is quality.

One game he could look like Franco Barasi, the next, a breakdancer.

Twitter rumour that Mikael Mandron is signing for us tomorrow, we’ve had him before but we didn’t really use him much.

I think he's particularly annoyed at the Carlisle fans spreading the rumours rather than anyone at Tranmere. People start discussing it almost like it's a done-deal and I think his jist is that when fans label a players as a wantaway, whether justified or not, it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Patrick for his part has just purchased a house in Carlisle so he seems to see his immediate future being here. I'd have kept my thoughts to myself in his position but he's a fan as well as the manager so his comments will sometimes be a little more emotive.
If the Rovers sources are correct, there was an offer, but Patrick didn’t want to move, so we’re looking elsewhere. If that’s true, might have read better by accepting there was an offer but OP wasn’t interested.

Absolute carthorse. Has all the attributes to be good hence why he keeps getting moves, but never seems to stay anywhere too long because has nothing between his ears.

Who's to say the Rovers sources are correct. I think we'll take Simmo's word over an unidentifiable poster on a forum.

Halliday confirmed. Oliver also signed and City leaked it themselves this time by pressing send on the article then deleting it.

Can’t say I know anything about Halliday, another Stephen agent ex-Boro youth player. Photo leaked of Vandaine Oliver signing too holding his shirt up.

The one involved is usually reliable and didn’t initially want to name the player. Some itk Carlisle fans also believe there was an offer made. In the grand scheme of things it’s not that important, though your faith in the Paul Simpson gospel is touching.

Played for us in League One, great going forward but can’t defend for shit, any decent winger will have a field day

He was excellent when he was on loan at Pools a few years back.

I think he's spent most of his time in League 1,he's a great signing.
I'll be lumping money on you lot for auto promotion.

Sounds like the opposite to Hendrie who is decent enough defensively but not so great going forwards.

Seems we have made an approach for Alex Bass at Pompey...he was at Bradford last season.

Strange really as we have just signed Correy Addai and in Glenn Morris we have a very decent keeper.

It's well know that Morris came to us as a keeper's coach but after our first choice started punching the ball into his own net he had to step in and has been ever present since (barring a couple of small injuries). Basically, we don't need another keeper.
