More likely be Challinor who wants Quigley shipping out.

Was patently obvious that he had lost faith in him during the last half of the season. He doesn't trust him which is why he was being subbed off at half time for a unfit Connor Jennings, or even Jennings starting ahead of him.
If DC wants him out then that’s fine with me but Norwood doesn’t replace any of his attributes or add the pace I feel we need to add and will cost us a wedge.

It’s the Ben Barclay/Will Fish signings of this summer if it happens.

Quigley needs a good pre-season behind him prefer him to Norwood any day of the week

We've only seen him for one pre season so not sure we can make definitive calls that he 'just needs a good pre-season'. He got injured in the last game of pre-season, not the first, and was rushed back and injured against Southend which didn't help, but we need a player who doesn't take over 6 months to recover from muscle injuries or need to have a pre-season again once he gets himself injured.

It was only at Barrow in his entire career it looked like he had managed to find consistent fitness, every season before that he has struggled with it and recurring hamstring injuries.

It's a signing which hasn't worked out and if Challinor doesn't trust him I am not against him leaving.

Last time Quigley played at this level he was a nuisance and very effective at what he did, whist being a bit of a donkey. Norwood is a far more polished player than Quigley in every aspect. Last time Norwood played at this level he had the pace and upper body strength to beat most league 2 defenders.

maybe i am being a bit critical of Norwood he is 5ft 9 whilst Quigs is 6ft 4 we need someone big to lead the line as Madden is only 5ft 9 and Wooton is 6ft 2

Signed Havey Lintott on a one year deal with the option of another. Most recently at the Gills.

19 year old right back had been on trial. Odimayo/Lintott to cover until September whilst McGowan is out.

Actually I think he's a bit taller/skinnier than Sousa having looked at it again.

We’re about to sign Finn Azaz on loan from Villa. Newport fans, what’s he like?

Watching Norwood highlights from the last couple of seasons he didn’t look at all pacy to me if he is then that changes my opinion but he looked very Madden-esque in that regard to me,

Big squad overhaul only to be unutterably mediocre for Walsall again this season methinks.

"I am a player that just wants to get on the ball."

Get on the ball. Can we add that to the Bingo card please?

My favourite has got to be a striker talking about his game and saying that "he loves scoring goals."

Obviously.

Alan Nixon (who at this point is as accurate at those kids in their mams box bedroom reporters) linking us with Kieran Agard at Donny?

Would be a massive disappointment if he's the man to lead the line next season.

Weird one really. Realistically he only made a few appearances for the first team last season because we didn't have any players left and Steve Evans can't handle a squad rebuild. He did 'ok' in the times he was on the pitch, but to be honest looked a long way off being a regular EFL standard player, albeit at a slightly higher level than he'll be at this year. I guess on a one year deal it's not a huge risk, but I'm not sure it's one to get over-excited about.

Thanks for the info. Definitely going to be a cheap, low risk back up option. Our no1 RB is out until September so he may fill in for a bit. One year deal with the option for an extra, if he improves, then its a win. If not then its not really a big loss.

Our defence is very much complete now though, need another CM, Winger, Striker and then a versatile forward player ideally.

Heard absolutely nothing at our end other than Notts County and that was off a shite Twitter account. Our club is better at keeping things quiet than GCHQ theses days

He was close to signing last season,so could have legs in it.
My leak mentioned Agard, but other than that,it’s more of a drip recently.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Andy Cook was leading your line, our squad is complete and we’re looking to get players off the books. Cook was mentioned in the local rag today, although it didn’t go as far as saying he was leaving but it wouldn’t surprise me.
