I know this year our transfer policy is for Quality over Quantity -- But there is simply no way we would fork out that kind of money. Especially for a fourth division player. I remember when we went down and although we wanted to keep Luke. He stated there was no way he wanted to play 4th div football. Appreciate he is still under contract to you . But players have a way round of getting what they want.
I have no idea if he wants to go. He has a slight injury at the moment anyway .If I had to put money on it i would say he'd stay with us this season. If he plays well we'd probably sell him at the end of the season. He still has 2 year's left on his contract and we don't particularly need the money. As I said before it would have to be a substantial offer for us to sell him.

Nathan Young-Coombes on a season-long loan from Brentford. 34 goals for their B team last year with one appearance in the Prem so sounds a very decent extra option up top. Loanees though. Can never really know what you're getting.

Andy Smith is signing again today from Hull, was absolutely epic last season so I’m very excited by this.

As a defensive unit (including our solid midfield) we look very solid, I do worry where the goals are coming from aside from the obvious in McAtee

Confirmed for a season long loan, could be one of our biggest signings of the season that
Buzzing about this one. He's quality, isn't he? Surprised Hull aren't taking a punt on him on the bench but I know exactly where I'd rather he is. Waterfall, Maher, Smith, Efete and Glennon? Wingbacks now a viable option even though it never works for us.

The idea that he's worth a million quid is unhinged. He's worth what someone will pay, and right now that really isn't any more than a quarter of that. The calculation for us is purely whether we can get a replacement as good for his wages and 50% of the fee, or whether he'll really come good this year and sell for much more later on.
And yes, I bet he'd have swapped a year in League Two and playing in League One this year for relegation followed by who knows how long down here!
Yes, I think what you would actually get for him after splitting with Chelsea, it would be more beneficial just to keep him. He seems like a lad who will work hard for the club rather than throw toys out of the pram.
L2 is really poor he will be great there

He ain't worth a million quid .I simply said a million because of the transfer fee involved with Chelsea making it worthwhile for us . I've seen it rumoured that Chelsea get 50%. I don't know for sure it that's the case or not . It's not as if Chelsea need the money !!

Glenn Morris to Gillingham on loan.

One of the best shot stoppers in league 2 and a decent all round keeper.

Maybe Betsy has judged it's time for a shake up, and he has seen our other keeper in training, but a big risk in my opinion.

Gils have a decent keeper and a decent fella added to their squad.

Teddy Jenks. Season long loan from Brighton u23.

Midfielder. At Aberdeen last season. Scored 2 in 18 appearances.

Just released our squad numbers...no squad number 2...?

Only one keeper so we need to get someone in.

Casey

Edit. Forgot to add. Highly rated.

I see Tyler Frost has joined Harrogate.

Thought he was a decent player for Crawley. Wide right midfield/attacker. Should of scored more and seemed to have injury problems last season (along with every other Crawley player) but I wouldn't have been unhappy if we'd kept him.

Potentially our best signing of the summer. Arsenal's 3rd choice keeper Arthur Okonkwo on loan for the season.

Goal keeper has been a weak point for us for so so long. At 6ft 6 he should be a big presence in the goal. Luckily he's signed in time to play tommorow aswell.

Ellery Balcombe, keeper on season long loan from Brentford.

Played in the fa trophy final for Bromley last season. Looked OK in that.

No idea who will be first choice for us this season. My pick has gone to Gillingham.

What happened to your keeper today? Didn’t look injured but obviously went off at HT

The say he picked up an injury that could have got bad if he stayed on. No idea if true or not but Betsy did praise his performance after the game...which according to him we controlled many aspects.:fl:

Casey

What's that gag. Picked up a little niggle at the game today. Obviously, he pronounces it Nigel.

We've signed Gavin Gunning as a defensive coach and at 31 will be a back up option as a Centre Back. Was at FGR when Scott Lindsey was a coach there.

Abo Eisa and Osadebe both out now. Desperately need another winger or two!

I think Peirera was on the bench for Luton today, so doubt we will be able to get him back on loan sadly. I would personally put a cheeky bid to Sunderland and try and get Diamond on a permanent. Cannot see Sunderland being bothered about keeping him now.

We could also do with a speed merchant as the lack of pace yesterday was a stand out for me and is a bit of a worry. I think Vernam would have been a massive difference if we still had him yesterday

we've got 2 players in for training next week, who will be signed on permanent deals IF they fit in with Pete Wild's recruitment criteria - 1st of which is are they the right type of person (ie - they won't disturb the dressing room/squad). No idea on names, although it's likely to be a left back and a central striker.

One keeper out on loan, one keeper injured on Saturday, one keeper left.

As we have a b ream to recruit for (apparently) so a young keeper could ge coming to Crawley soon.

Rumours that Tony Craig and Oteh could be moving on soon.

Oh, and our significant midfield signing, the one where our season ticket and nft holders said we should go for a midfielder, was nowhere near the squad yesterday. No reason given.

I noticed that Crawley have registered 35 pro players in their squad list ahead of the new season.

I mean thats just insane for down here, all of last seasons squad signed contract extensions and they've just added around 12 players on top of that.

It just looked like it will all in end in tears, how on earth are 35 players going to be kept happy?!

We have a few injuries already but seems Pereira is ahead in the pecking order of others. He has looked good in pre-season but we have a lot of attacking players and are struggling to to get under the 25 man squad limit which you need to have by the end of the window so whether he is available or not will definitely come down to what he shows in this little period to the window closing and if injuries bite. He has an opportunity to make it but is definitely on the edge.

Definitely scope for it to be revisited before the end of the window id have thought especially as we are being linked with other players in attacking areas (John McAtee at Grimsby being one linked today).

For me he’s too raw right now for a Championship squad, no doubt though in a year or two he’ll be a starter. Whilst everyone here is obviously really keen to get him back, I just can’t see why he’d be loaned to a L2 side when he’d easily get good game time in the league above.

A lot of those are players for the new 'b' team. For some reason we have all the pros listed as the first team squad.

I would agree with you if it wasn't for that but I do expect some first teamers to leave shortly.

If they all are for the first team squad we are asking for disent and problems in the future.

Some sick suggestions on Exeweb that were after Theo Robinson. Seriously, we can surely do better than that.

Ive only seen the odd game of his, looked really good in the playoff games i thought but, championship level yet you think?

I'd really have thought we would be interested in a loan back situation because we have a ton of attacking players in a similar position to him.

Any rumours on Adebayo your end we have a 20% sell on clause if he leaves?

Yeah he’s 100% not Championship level yet but has all the raw ability to do so.

He’s out of contract in the summer and in reality he needs surgery on his shoulder, 500k plus a loan back would be great business for all parties.
