There is no way on this earth Beckles is one of the top centre halves in this league never mind players
Top centre halfs? debateable, granted.

He's certainly one of the most reliable though, rarely let us down last season. Managed to chip in with 6 goals too, he's played well for us in his time here.

Knowles seems to be a decent signing all i have to go on is the Yeovil fans reaction though anyone on here have any thoughts on him or know much?

Nah, I just saw that Mark Hughes was giving a press conference at a boarding school - there was no context in the tweet so it struck me as a bit weird. I probably presumed they'd do everything like that at the stadium.

As a youngster on loan at St Neots and Cambridge City, as well as in our FA Youth Cup team, he stood out as extremely fast and with a hell of a shot on him. Played a lot on the wing but inclined to come inside for a shot.

I'm sure he's developed and come on in his time at Chelmsford (loan) and Yeovil over the last 2-3 years.

We rated him highly but he wasn't going to get much L2 game time with our 2020/21 promotion squad - most of our players in his position are still 1st choice and developing in our L1 squad, apart from Wes Hoolahan.

When we let him go to Yeovil it was with all our best wishes and I'm fairly sure we had a sell-on clause in the deal - so thanks, we might be able to afford a new lawnmower :£

Hartigan was at Wimbledon for years.. He's technically good.. He can pick a pass and he's decent at set pieces. He's not really an attacking or a defensive midfielder.. I'd say that he is a bit of a luxury player. No pace and doesn't score many. !! In saying that he had a good start to last season but faded. He may just need a change of scene . He's only 22 I think and played quite a lot of games in league 1. He's a decent signing for you.
Had him on loan a couple of seasons ago!!! up his own arse trouble maker, we couldn't wait to get rid.

That's a bit harsh although he possibly think's he's better than he actually is .

We've loaned out central midfielder Ethan Coleman to Bromley for the season.

Always expected to happen, not very often have we paid a fee for a player, tied them down to a long term contract and got it a bit wrong, but on this occasion we have done so far. Can't fault Colemans effort, but he lacks a yard or two of pace anyway and the step up has proved too quick for him. He's the sort of player you sign when you're one of the big clubs in the National League and you cherry pick at the smaller clubs better players.

Still has a further year on his contract, so a chance he can come back if he has a good season in South London.

This leads me to believe we will be bringing in another central midfielder soon, because we are lacking them in numbers right now!

Understand we’ve made strides towards getting the JFC deal over the line.

I’m expecting a midfielder to go the other way now.
$tags. He was off to Blackpool last I heard. One of the top CMs in L1 stats wise last season, wasn't he?

No idea, feedback is mixed.

I just got to presume we are selling somebody, we had Ollie Clarke and George Lapslie on the bench against Salford, both could get regular game time at quite a few L1 clubs.

Pretty clear the board have backed Clough with some money to buy a striker but we’ve been unable to get one in other than the young lad on loan from Forest.

Sounds like Crystal Palace winger Scott Banks poised to sign for us on loan as replacement for the unlucky Osadebe

We've signed Tom Lowery on a 3 year deal. Looked a great little footballer when we visited you guys late last season.

The reaction to us signing this lad from some mostly on Twitter has been embarrassing, wrote the bloke off before he’s even kicked a ball, he might be shite, let’s see him kick a ball first.

Personally I think it’s fine, last week people were moaning (myself included) that we only had 6 on the bench, now people are moaning that we’re making singings and filling it up, can’t win.
If I was him I'd honestly rip the contract up and do one. It's really toxic, if there's a defeat today I can see it unravelling quite quickly.

Aldershot say he's a good player as did Oldham fans. He might not be all that bad. I'd rather sign someone like that than another part time Scots player.

Interestingly one of the NWC lot have leaked a dm from a player (could be Molyneux) saying he would've stayed but for Raj Singh. Not a happy camp is it.

Glad he's got himself a good club. There have been Wrexham rumours the last two windows and he's far too good to drop to the fifth tier. Cracking player from what I've seen. Shame it ended how it did at Crewe and he's missed a bit of football as a result. The flicky goal he scored vs Salford in 19/20 is one of the best goals I've seen at this level.

Wellens has said in his post game interview today that our left back Conor Wood is avaliable for transfer and been told to find another club - We need to free up funds apparently.

So then, anyone need a left back down here?

We have 2 left backs and both are injured hence we played with Tilley as a lwb....he's right footed but you can tell by the way he buried that chance yesterday that he is comfortable on his left...

Not going to stag off a player playing out of position for the good of the team.

The leaked message is from Timi, but it’s bad craic to be posting stuff like that just cause a couple of the fans have been banned. Not a great feel around the club atm.

To be honest it's just the NWC who aren't happy, they whinge and moan like fuck about something, then come back a month later ready and raring, they do make for a good atmosphere on a match day but they go on like there was never an atmosphere at Pools before they turned up.

What happened? That really doesn't sound like him.
He can hit a long pass like nobody else we had, which when it works is great but when it sails into the crowd, not so good. Consistency is his problem, but still only 22 so might still develop. I liked him but unfairly became a bit of a scapegoat so not surprised he left and hope he does well for Mansfield.

We've signed Scott Banks on loan from Palace. 10 goals and 4 assists in 17 PL2 games last year and think he was their captain too. Sounds like the sort of player we need.
