We’re keeping tabs on Tony Watt - whatever that means.

Salford, too.

Can’t see it. Vadaine Oliver is in good form and is currently keeping the leagues top scorer out of the team. We’ve just signed Derbyshire and have countless other attackers who never feature.
He has electric pace. :tw:

Most depressing press conference going today, sounds like George Lapslie is going to L1 who is one of our best players, Ollie Clarke is out for weeks, Harbottle is out for a month and Hartigan is potentially out for the season.

We may be fucked unless we pull out some instant impact signings very soon.

So Salford are getting Alex Cairns who we were rumoured in for, Wrexham apparently after Brad Walker and Joe White joins Exeter on loan

3 potential targets down already

Would've liked to have got Cairns even though he only played 90 minutes for us, anything's an upgrade on Calamity Killip, I don't think there's anything in the Walker to Wrexham thing, the lads on the other board said they're swimming in midfielders, wouldn't make much sense, as for Joe White, talented player, butchered by Graeme Lee who forced him into being a wide man, shot the lad's confidence to bits.

Give me Hallam Hope, Mark Beck and Jonny Franks!

There will be a long list of clubs trying to sign him, but if he comes back here he will play every game.

Sounds similar to ourselves and our centre back situation.

One banned for 3 games, one out for up to 6 weeks, one out for the season and the last one finding his way back to fitness.

Shad is apparently out for 4-6 weeks, wouldn't be shocked if we got someone in for a month on loan at the very least.

Ugh, Curtis Davies been mooted yet again. Might actually happen at last. Don’t fancy Hobson much - complete bobbins on the ball.

Amadou Bakayoko is up for grabs for anyone that can meet Bolton's valuation according to Ian Evatt.
He could do a job for a lower/mid-table L1 team, so he’d be a very handy signing in L2. Bagged 10 goals and 5 assists in the league last season as a rotation option/impact sub, but hasn’t really had a look in this season.

Not the most graceful of footballers on the ball, but makes some really good runs into the box and has enough pace and physicality to worry defenders.

You don’t what depressing is.
Just about every player we’ve been linked has signed for other clubs & we’ll be left with the crap as usual.

I’ve said it before, of the 92 clubs in the top 4 leagues, we are 92nd choice for most players.

The fact we’re not in a relegation battle maybe gives us a bit more leverage than usual, but ultimately players will still be put off by shit wages and shit training facilities. We are the club who will have to wait to see what’s left in the pool of players no one else wants.

Saying to a Mansfield fan you don’t know what depressing is  Admittedly it could be worse, but trust me Stags fans are well versed with football related depression.

We’re interested in Josh Hawkes from Tranmere.
Along with Barnsley and Salford apparently.

Mostly played wide left for Rovers though we have tried him in a freer role behind the striker/s. Has the knack of popping up with a few goals and certainly has potential. Still got a year to go on his contract so he’’ll cost, how much probably depends on the size of Sunderland’s cut in any deal.

Word over here if that deal goes through you will be after Kieran Sadlier from us......Too good a player for lge2
One of those players who is technically better than most on the field but gets lost in games.
Great impact sub got some vital goals coming off the bench.

Would be a decent signing, but if he’s a regular squad player with you and too good for L2, unlikely to want to drop down a league and no obvious reason to let him go unless you’ve got someone else lined up?

Hearing the same here! if true then i wish him all the best, he has been a great servant to our club but if he wants to move closer to home then he leaves with the gratitude of every Newport fan.
