Dynal Simeu has been recalled from his loan by Southampton and sent to Morecambe. It makes sense from their perspective, as he is way too good for League Two.

Glen Morris has gone back to Crawley, a very good keeper at this level. I assume that means we’ve got someone lined up to come in.

Best of luck to Glen though (and if anyone needs a decent keeper then put a bid in, it will be accepted)

I bet you're all relieved, like a giraffe on rollerskates.
pontoonlew mentioned on our forum the other day that someone had described him as a greyhound chasing a balloon which is also very accurate.

Weirdly though, he played 86 minutes vs us last season and scored 3 times. Came off the bench at BP to score twice in the last 10 mins and turn what was about to be a very good 1-0 win for us into a catastrophic 2-1 defeat and then he scored in the playoff final too. So he created chaos for us. Maybe more like a greyhound chasing a balloon in a china shop then.

Had a very rocky start to life at Carlisle when he came on loan last January. Struggled in a poor side under Keith Millen, but his season changed when Paul Simpson took over, and he ended up playing a huge part in our turnaround. He ended up a fan favourite, and it's good to see him progressing.

He’s not our player anymore though. Also never trust Paul Hurst when it comes to denying player interest.
He’s still your player for another 6 months so to be paying what I’d presume would be a sizeable fee right now for someone in the sane position seems daft.

Was told a few weeks ago Josh Umerah was interesting Orient.
Apparently they have bid £200k & a league one club also interested.

Daniel Sturridge signed for us apparently.
Spoof post that mate, been doing the rounds about a week. I posted it in here a while ago.

Can see it from both angles, you're right it would be a decent chunk of budget but he also needs replacing. We've had Lewis Richardson in on loan from Burnley who is sort of backup to him. If we don't extend his loan, I could see us going for someone in the McAtee role but I think the more likely option is Scott Pollock from Boston. Younger, on this side of the country, we've done loads of business with Boston previously, Hurst has links, etc.

Hope im wrong but I reckon that would tempt Raj to sell. Lose Umerah I think it could be curtains for us.

Charlie Vernam to leave his hometown club to come back to his hometown club rumours kicking off. This rumour was always gonna happen though and merely signals that we are entering the midway stage of the window. Now for a Bogle rumour in 3...2...

Yeah if Umerah goes we are screwed. Only player in the squad who knows where the net is consistently. Would bag a load with semi competent players behind him

The rumoured bid scares me because there is no chance Raj turns that down, and not a chance that money goes into finding a replacement either.

Bogle and Sturridge up front with Vernam playing just behind, can’t wait, nothing can stop us now!

Signed Robbie Wilmot from Newport any info Newport fans we know little about him?
The bromance between Flynn and Wilmott resumes, now theres a surprise!

Wilmott hasn't kicked a ball for us since last september which tells you all you need to know being as we have the worse mid-field in the league by the perverbial mile, in his prime he was very good but his prime is way behind him.

If you could also sign Adelakun if he returns on loan from Gillingham and Jamie Robson as well then that'd be great.

If Hursty cares as much about the Lincolnshire club as we do then Adelakun is surely a DONE DEAL.

If he's available then I hope we'd be at the front of the queue.

Linked with Neill Byrne who is free to leave Tranmere (according to reports). Horsfall is expected to be out for a while for us which is a massive blow so we do need another option at the back. Challinor knows him well from Fylde and Hartlepool looking at the timelines.

Byrne would be a solid signing, liked him at Pools.

Where he's at his best in Challinor's back three? Right or left foot?

I honestly don't remember what peg he is, always played in a back three though, comfortable with the ball, not a head it/kick it the way he's facing defender.
