Linked with Neill Byrne who is free to leave Tranmere (according to reports). Horsfall is expected to be out for a while for us which is a massive blow so we do need another option at the back. Challinor knows him well from Fylde and Hartlepool looking at the timelines.
Hasn’t worked out for him here, I don’t think he’s a defence organiser so struggled working with younger players and when Turnbull was recruited and Tom
Davies recovered from injury never going to be first choice. Think he’s a right-footer.

Coming in as cover but a shame he can't organise as that is what we'll miss with Horsfall's absence. The reality is that we're not going to get a player of Horsfall's quality in Jan when they'll know they'll be back up when he returns so hopefully he can just step in and do alright. He looks more proven than Joe Lewis at least.

Byrne is the 7/10 every week type, pretty consistent, nothing really stood out in terms of strengths but no real weaknesses either. Good option to bring in.

Also looks like we’re potentially signing Jack Stretton on a permanent deal.

Happy enough with this one as a young fourth choice striker with room to develop.

Hudlin and Maghoma have been recalled by their parent clubs and we've recalled Zach Robinson from Dundee.

There's a rumour doing the rounds that Bristol City are going to recall Ryley Towler and sell him to Portsmouth. He'll be a massive loss for us as he's been great.

Out injured at the moment, along with 95% of our playing staff!

Where's this one come from?

Looks like Coughlan is offering Bogle out to anyone who will take him! if he goes that would be 6 out and none in as replacement, looks like i will have to take my boots to Rochdale tomorrow.

Yeah they recalled him early last season too, we were hoping to extend his deal but they had a CB crisis and needed him. We definitely thought it was gonna be a huge loss but thankfully we loaned Andy Smith from Hull who is every bit as good as Towler. Glad to hear Towler has done well for you at this level, seems like a proper nice lad too.

He done his hamstring on New Year’s Day, not sure how bad it is though.

We’re probably only interested in keeping him on loan, so if he can get a permanent move and be handed a dream in the process, I wouldn’t blame him.

Only half of a dream sold to Byrne with his 6 month deal.

ITK people on our messageboard who 9/10 are spot on.

Likely to be done in mid January when he’s fit enough to pass a medical.

Stretton is one I have mixed feelings on.

When he first joined I thought he looked like a rabbit in a headlight, totally out of his depth at this level. But over the months he’s definitely showed signs that there’s something there. He works his socks off but doesn’t really look a goal threat, maybe that will come as he gets older.

I’d happily keep him on loan to see if he continues to improve, but I’m not sure I’d want us spending money on bringing him in permanently at this stage. Anyway you can’t blame him for being seduced by the dream makers.

Now being Linked to Jayden Stockley, that would be a great signing at this level

I have absolutely no idea if any of these rumours are a load of old bull, usually you can tell, but we’re in totally unchartered territory.

2 of our ex players - DJ from Charlton and Freeman from Pompey - ar3 rumoured to both be joining Mansfield.

Always liked DJ - the very definition of an enigma. Freeman can fuck off.

I think MI5 are now running our transfer news as we get bugger all or false flags, however we are being linked with Tom Cannon from Everton

Tried to sign up for yellowboard earlier on to sound folk out about this, didn't realise away fans weren't welcome :shifty:

Stratton has shown enough for me to think there's an excellent player in there, one to develop and then sell to a higher level in a year or two. Hasn't scored many, but in his defence he's rarely played as an out and out striker. His runs cause problems for full backs, and he makes space for others. Personally I hope this is the 1/10 that your ITK messageboarders get wrong. Can't see us splashing the cash for a permanent deal at this point, but we really can't afford to be letting an attacker leave us at this point, as we're down to the bare bones up front.

Had a look at the yellow board last week when we were rumoured to be in for Olaofe, christ, I’d slipped back in to 1994.

Yeah I’ve gone there.

sounds like you ventured onto the racist version. Early 90s board format, even longer in the tooth views.

The other one which i think Moonie has managed to get onto is more like early 10s, but hard to get onto as we’ve had our fair share of weirdo Hartlepool and Wrexham fans join. Think you need to email ID or something crazy like that now.
