It’s more to do with our lack of transfer activity given the gaping holes in the squad and then we let one of our better players go without a replacement, the lot on Twitter basically hate the board for not spending, I don’t normally agree with them but the chairman says one thing I December and then basically stops transfers or delays them in January completely the opposite of what he said. I’m finding it very difficult to defend the board at present.

Absolutely staggering that Akil Wright was playing part-time conference north football. Have to admit I was sceptical given the level he came from. Not many make the jump nevermind in their first season. Only have to look at some of our players from that era who moved into the league and struggled.

Think it was only Danny Lloyd who you could argue did it and even he dropped out once he chased the money at Salford.

Owen Moxon was playing part time in Scottish League 2, which is probably around the same level as Conference North.

Lapslie already turned down an improved offer from Mansfield and it’s not like we don’t pay well, if he goes to Gillingham it’s going to be ridiculous money to make him move, a move to the likes of the one or two rumoured L1 sides however make complete sense.

I don't think there were ever any rumours from our end that he was going to Stockport, there's an expectation that bigger clubs will be looking at him but nothing to suggest we're about to lose him to a team from the same division.

There has been no enquiries about any of our players says simmo. If we’re being honest there’s no way a league two team could afford to buy moxon in this window and I don’t think he’d leave.

I’m sure we will ask that, there is a planned forum but no date set as of yet, guesswork would suggest it was a way of getting funds in to the club before the takeover was complete.
