Ben Gladwin to Crawley. Interesting but not a surprising one.

On his day oozes class and I have to say has trimmed down this season as last season it was like he had a caravan on his back half the time. Will be interesting to see how he does and i'm a bit disappointed to see him go but I'm confident we have and will get better replacements.

He slows us down, Bob. That was so evident in our play v Grimsby when he was ‘injured’. He’s a Rolls Royce but with only 1 gear.

Yeah I wouldn't disagree with that. He did seem to have an aversion to shooting this season and had a tendancy to dawdle on the ball and get dispossessed. I did like him though and wonder if a coach with a more attacking/dynamic mindset might have got more out of him. Will be keeping half an eye out to see how he gets on under Lindsey down at Crawley.

Jordan Green is done as a Gills player, under Harris at least. Showed glimpses early in the season but has spent the last couple of months falling over whenever he's played, and showing absolutely why he was playing for Dulwich Hamlet in his mid 20s.

We're also looking to bring one in by the weekend, with a deal close but not done. Probably a CB as we're light there at the moment.

Thank fuck he did slow you down a bit that game or else we could’ve got a bit of a hiding.

Saying that on top of my head I can only think of one!

Yeah because the ONLY thing to consider when judging a striker is goals scored.......

What a numpty!
It’s of course not the only thing but it’s one of the things and we’ve both seen enough of Connor to know he’s not some amazing hold up striker.

You were making out like he’d had an amazing loan spell but that’s a terrible goal record and he’d dropped to the bench in his final game getting a grand total of 5 mins in that game.

It’s pretty obvious who the numpty is.

I think there’s only actually one new Gills fan who’s posted, rest have been on and off here for a while. Me and Joe have been here for eternity though

I can think of 2 regulars before, Pub and Last Waltz.
That’s it though.

Nothing about this our end.

We do have transfer news though.

David Bremang agrees a mutual termination. Signed by Betsy in August. Said to be a strong forward. The only game I saw him in the oppo centre half was laughing at him!

We've signed a keeper. Roshan Greensall. Young kid who was previously a bench warmer with us last year in case Morris got injured in a game.

It looks like we’re going into Saturday with no more signings still which is absolutely fucking mental.

I’ve no idea what on earth Hurst or the club are playing at and I’m extremely concerned now

We’ve signed someone with a terrific name. William Desire Mbongo Hondemarck. Midfielder from Barnsley, never heard of him.

Apparently he goes by Will Hondemarck, boring! Anyway 2 1/2 year deal, undisclosed fee, Barnsley fans seem to rate him. Ticks the boxes.

Now apparently linked with Matty Stevens from FGR. Have a mental picture that our chairman has just looked at the calendar and gone ‘FUCKING HELL 26TH OF JANUARY!!’

More hoping he said Hondemarck.... get set... go.

Ill get my coat.

On the plus side he looks a prospect. 2.5 year deal and we have been after him the last 3 windows apparently. Looks a unit but I like these high upside signings. Hopefully still get a forward and CB and then I will be happy with what we have.

Not sure how Stevens has looked after doing his ACL but his goal return last year was fantastic. Despite being top scorers in the league we look so reliant on Hoskins every game. Very happy if this comes off despite wanting more of a target man type forward.

Mostly just moaning about being asked about whether we've got any new signings coming in and complaining how hard it is to sign players in this window, while ignoring every other club in the league blowing us out the water with multiple new signings compared to our 1 loanee who's played about 60 minutes of first team football in his career. Totally abject stuff

I'm hoping they're gonna do that thing they did against Swindon when they announced O'Neill at like 1:55pm and then posted the lineup. Kind of have to hope that because the alternative, like you say, is absolutely batshit mental. If we don't sign anyone of note that fans forum is gonna be fun.

It feels very much like we've sacked this season off.

Christ there’s more Gillingham fans cropping up on here than actually go to their fucking games!

Took over a thousand to Colchester last Saturday. Sung our hearts out despite still holding the rest of the league up, whereas the rest of the stadium was like a morgue from the start. Even our infantile chants didn't get a rise out of them, even "you must be sh*t, we're winning away"

Incidentally, I have posted 112 messages in the past, but this is the first since the investment. Pleased with the signings but the sums mentioned so far could have been financed by our two cup runs.

Pools and Rovers linked with Harvey Saunders who the Brizzle Rovers are prepared to release. He’s lived for a period in the NE, even a previous brief loan spell at Hartlepool, so looks like we might lose out on geography again.
