Pools and Rovers linked with Harvey Saunders who the Brizzle Rovers are prepared to release. He’s lived for a period in the NE, even a previous brief loan spell at Hartlepool, so looks like we might lose out on geography again.
Up in the air this one i think.

But he would be playing for us from the off, Attacking midfield i would think.

He would play regularly up front for us if he came. The only decent striker we have got is Hemmings.

He’d 100% be starting upfront for us every week also, can’t remember him playing here and after looking him up its cos he only played twice.

Saunders has been excellent for us. He’s been unlucky at the beginning of the season with injuries iirc but he’s an excellent L2 striker. Bit sad to see him go tbh

Another Gills fan here. Not exactly “new”. I’ve been in the boards for years, but I don’t post much, and before this season it was up in the heady heights of L1 so you lot won’t have been part of those discussions

Very happy with Connor Masterson returning. He was class in L1 for us. He should be excellent here.

Wonder if it’s a loan with a view to permanent. He’s off contract in the summer.

Another one coming out the woodwork
Don't post much most of the time, mostly because it had been so depressing so just never even bothered opening the site and just stuck to the main Gills forum.

Also very happy with Masterson. Probably the best CB in the league.

Nadersan gave an interview to the local press saying he is not going anywhere (he has also started training again after his injury v Hartlepool).

Still no news about Gladwin our end. Did see the efl bloke said he and Landodo(?) Are signing for us. We have two left backs so the last is a bit odd.

Just to put some perspective on all this.
We have actually only signed one player on a permanent from a division above (and that was from league one) and one on loan from QPR, being Masterton.
The others have been from this division and a couple of youngsters from non-league.
It seems like we are splashing the cash but in all honesty we are merely playing catch up.
Still expect us to lose to the inbreds but at least we now go with a little hope which was unimaginable just a few weeks ago.

He’s no LB, he’s best in midfield. We played him there out of necessity because of injuries. Gladwin is a definite.

We had Masterson on loan during the Jurassic era. He was class in league 1 but got injured and his loan terminated after 5 games. You'd think given QPR loaned him to a league 1 side last season and have now loaned him to a league 2 side that his 'development' there is done. I'd suggest loan with view to permanent is more than likely.

The 'good' thing about Iandolo is that he can play LB as he is a useful utility player. He was good for us last year under Garner but I've not been impressed this season after his injury. He's our longest serving player and for me a useful squad player but if were getting a fee then probably a good time to move him on.

Sandro and team are going to be busy next week for sure.

Ben Gladwin to Crawley confirmed. Good luck Gladders. One of very few people we've received cash money for twice!

Not particularly transfer worthy but loanee Rollin Menayese is out for 6 months, imagine he’ll be sent back to Walsall to recover? saddler78

Shame really, had a good season for us amidst a sea of shite.

He was alright, a bit inconsistent but was the best CB we've got. At least it's a wage saved which is great news for the balance sheet.

This poor kid on loan from Blackpool when he gets announced is gonna get trounced online.

Pathetic us man, been chasing strikers for 7/8/9 weeks before the window opened, we’re a few days away from it closing and no better off.

I don’t see why we don’t tbh, it’s not like he offers anything.
Only really produced one moment in the FA Cup hasn't he, other than that I'm certain we can do better for the money he's supposedly on.

That said, if Adelakun and Green are shipped out we don't have too much in the way of natural width in the squad which personally I think would be an error. I think he might stay for that reason alone.

Flynny has said in an interview this Morning the DJ deal isn't dead in the water and still could happen by the deadline but it has to be right for all parties was what he emphasised.

Was all so predictable. Just want us sold, getting to the point what league we're in don't matter.

Our two goals last week came from one cross and one corner delivered by Macdonald. We had only scored 7 goals in all before the turn of the year so not sure that width that Adelakun gives us is very productive.

Harvey's a good lad and a fair player -- Only reason he's gone is we have better and he wants game time. Sorry to see him go . But I don't blame him.

We just shipped out striker D’Mani Mellor to Dale on loan.

He came through the Manyoo youth team, had a brief loan spell at Salford cut short by injury, then we signed him.

From the few games I’ve seen him in, it looks like he’s got talent but is far from the finished product and lacks experience in senior football.

Not sure that the cut and thrust of a relegation dogfight is the best place for him to acquire that experience, but hey, I guess Dale fans will find out soon enough.

Rochdale making the sort of signings Pools will in the next few days. Its between us, them and Crawley. Three worst run clubs in the league.
