Very pleased with this after the rave reviews he got from people after his loan spell with Cobblers a couple of years ago.

We were linked with him practically all summer to the point I feel like I know him more than Luton fans do!

He's apparently a solid but not spectacular wide midfielder who plays predominantly on the left. He's a hard working player but jury is out from Luton fans on whether he is league class. We wanted him but Luton were rumoured to want £50k for him and we said no.

No he just wanted a change of scenery which he said. He's out of them team because there's players better than him in his positions.

I think you can double that. Luton just didn't want to sell to a divisional rival. The fee would've been lower should it have been someone outside L2.

Nicholls was outstanding in his season with us, he was linked with Liverpool the season after so really have been mystified why he hasn't kicked on. If he is as good as he was in his season with us you have got yourself a quality keeper at this level.
