Bit about Bugiel there. Will be surprised if he ends up at yours as the talk is heading west (he lives that way apparently). He’s the best forward player I’ve seen defensively and puts a huge shift in every game. That said going forward and goal wise he’s not going to pull up any trees in League One (nor L2).
I thought Bugiel played lots of non-league football around Sussex (Burgess Hill Town etc). Surprised if he lives out west and played around here.

That’s correct, but we now train near Heathrow which is not so much of a commute (previously we’ve had a couple of training grounds more of a hassle). Apparently he is Swindon based so not west west, incidentally I travel from there too. No bother to travel to Sutton from there once every couple of weeks.

We've also been training in Manchester for years, as long as I've been following the club. Not sure why it's fresh news for so many.

I know a few barrow fans and i’m sure they said you used to train at preston or close by?

Given you’re a bit fucked geographically it would make sense

Good, you can finally now buy 21st century drainage for your pitch.
Are you ever gonna post anything constructive or just keep churning out the same shit for eternity?

Haven't signed a single player yet. It's mainly other clubs fans that are seemingly getting all excited about who we might sign.

Scunthorpe next season will be training at Ilkeston (between Nottm and Derby). They say it will attract a better quality of player. Saves them travelling miles each day. Makes you wonder why Grimsby don’t try it.
It's something that comes up quite often, a lot of support from fans to train in Sheffield but our owners have banged on about community so much that they've created a rod for their own back on this. They're ploughing on regardless with plans for a new multi-million pound training facility in the GY area. I can personally see both sides of the argument however progress for the local plan is evidently going slowly and with little update, if locating and buying the land is so difficult then I think alternatives need to be looked at.
Ha, everyone has heard this now at both clubs, picking up momentum. I’m still not entirely buying it, but it’d be such a cool, romantic move. Do it, Didzy.
Don't worry we're not the same Notts as we were during our League 2 Chaos Eras parts I and II. We're sensible and patient Notts now.

First signing: David McGoldrick
Grimsby in for Ironside apparently.
Ooh yes please. How reliable is your source on that one?

It's Didzy not McGoldrick and when on nickname terms that automatically means a 75% reduction in wages.

Someone on our forum who usually gets a bit of inside info. He said only in talks rather than a done deal.

Ironside would be a good signing for any league two team. Gods hold up play, works hard, defenders nightmare but league one just a step too far.

We signed Bugiel from Worthing.
Yep, Sussex.

I presume he moved after signing for you as commuting to a national south team from Swindon would make a huge dent in those wages.

Yeah I thought he was great in your promotion season. Just said on our forum that a combo of him, a goalscorer (easier said than done finding one of those though) and a tenacious/clever Waters/McAtee/Lloyd type would be a great trio of forwards.

How's Ironside been injuries/fitness wise the last few seasons?

I seem to remember it being mentioned when he signed that he had been attending Chichester College...so I'm guessing he more than likely lived locally to there at the time and probably found somewhere in Swindon after joining us...it is certainly more affordable than the Stroud or Nailsworth area for someone on a National League wage!

Think they trained at Preston Sports Arena for a while but moved to something more permanent and less public in Salford.

Hahaha fair point. We’d be mad not to if it’s what he genuinely wants to do, though.
