Crawley sign Aaron Henry on loan for the season.
Beat me to it. On loan at Wealdstone last season (?). Next move up. Has played a few time for the first team.

I seen a video but I know nothing about him.

Yep, at Wealdstone for some of last season and seemed to do well.

He’s had a fair bit of hype around him at the club over the last few years, I haven’t seen much reason for it in his few cameos but that’s all they’ve mostly been in fairness, cameos. Has a good strike on him and can hit a free-kick.

Think a season long loan in L2 will do him the world of good, will be following his progress.

We've come up against McLean a few time down the years and all he seems to do is get the by-line, overhit his cross and go through a stage during a game where he appears very angry with everything and everyone.

Got to be much better players out there to throw that kinda money at, surely?

Linked with Christian Doidge. Have my reservations about that one.

'Project' is the one I hate.

"I really wanted to join the project"
No you went for the money.

Doesn't sound like you're really buying into the vision here mate.

3 signings just in time for the start of the season, means we should be able to fill the bench despite a couple of injuries.

Lavinier I’m pretty happy with, Johnson looked good on trial but has only played 3 games in 3 years due to injury & Kadji has potential according to some Bristol City fans, wasn’t great at Swindon but maybe might do better now he’s on a second EFL loan.

Expect more incomings and outgoings throughout August.

Don't know what to make of the McLean signing myself tbh....used to think he was a horrible sh'itehouse tbh, because of his poppy shenanigans, etc.
But aparently he's always 'a fans fav' because of his efforts when wearing the shirt....a 100%'er....and as we ALL know, the moment you see a player running & chasing everyrthing...he's a winner.
As for the fee...250K? For a 34yr-old? All I'll say is, don't believe anything you read in the media...especially if it's to do with Wrexham! They'll stick any fee/figure they like on, and it's 'gospel'... straight away!

McClean didn’t cost £250k. Nowhere near.

We’ll have to pay more than that to land the striker from Harrogate that we are after though.

Is that Luke Armstrong? He would be a great signing.

But it looks as if McClean did cost 250k and is on 12k a week. Absolutle waste of money that, you probably could have made a couple of good shrewd signings instead and still be good enough to go up from this league.

Looks to me like your club is under pressure to make pointless big money signings because of your wealth, this really is a bad bit of business for a 34 year old who will be even older at a higher level if you go up to L1.

He's on a 1 year deal.

We're also stupidly rich so money doesn't really come into it.

It will when your owners get bored and leave your club in loads of debt haha

But you really have been conned here into paying that much for him. Seems like a panic buy.

We're not exactly desperate for a player in any of the positions he covers.

If we'd overpaid for a striker you'd probably have a point.

Anything with Wrexham attached is going to carry a hefty premium. Almost a licence to extort.

I suspect in some ways the signing of McLean is partially about football and partially about the documentary as his back story is fascinating. I suspect that's 1 episode of the documentary sorted. Let's not forget, the income from that documentary absolutely swamps whatever the outlay was on the signing of McLean.

Hope Darnell Fisher gets a contract, last I heard he was ready to retire through injury. Love that guy.

We are aiming to be big in Ireland. We already have a few Irish players but none of his calibre.

Irish tour next pre season. Or at least we will play in Boston.

Ahh yes; that’s all the big multi nationals aim too, let’s break in to that massive Irish market.
