Eric needs the Wilder chip on his shoulder to balance out the one he's had about Orient for the past decade, bless his little Burberry socks.

You need to make up some new stereotypes, us Blackbird Leys knuckleheads stopped wearing Burberry socks last autumn.

:( Will be such a massive loss. Hopefully if he is sold this window he can be loaned back to us! Only just turned 21 and has over 120 games for us! Already our best defender and leader at the back!!

Thankfully I think it's all just talk at this stage. I'd like to think the club would be prompted into action now though and offer Lockyer a new long-term deal now so that if we progress we can keep him and if we don't we can command a very good transfer fee.

He is an absolute star in the making and I get the impression he really enjoys playing for us. Hopefully that stands us in good stead, although it is inevitable he will be subject to bids that may be too good to turn down.

Apparently we're after Tafazoli from Mansfield
Saw that on our board, and it would be confusing to say the least if he went to you. With all due respect you could well be in the same division as us next season, so it wouldn't necessarily be a step up for him as a player. His contracts up at the end of the seasons so we're expecting to lose him this window, as long as we're getting £75k+ and a sell on I'd be happy. Very good player when he gets in the groove and deserves to be playing at a higher level, but I personally don't see much point for him leaving for anything lower than a league 1 play off side as we could be there in 2 seasons time and find himself sat on the bench.

Plymouth are not only going to sign Alan Smith, but give him a contract until the end of next season and, presumably, assurances of playing time. What the fuck are they thinking!?!

Conor Roberts has also signed a new loan deal until the end of the season. Great news!

Bloody hell i didn't see this coming but Wycombe have signed Michael Harriman on a 3 and a 1/2 deal from QPR. He's been outstanding on loan which would have ended at the end of the month so i'm well chuffed with him becoming a Wycombe player as he'll be a good captain when the position arises i'm sure. :bravo:

According to Sean Taylor (relatively respected journo), we have agreed a fee with Shrews for Liam Lawrence. Saw Stags fans discussing him t'other day, is he any good?

Great signing, real coup for Wycombe that. QPR priced us out in the summer with an allegedly astronomical fee, but with the change in management I guess the price has come down so Wycombe have played a blinder there.

Has struggled to hold down a first team place at Shrewsbury this season and out of contract at the end of season. Slowing down as a player (35) but still has quality and will be a good addition for any league 2 team. Mickey Mellon is freeing the wage bill to bring in New players, As you know Collins out to Northampton and Barnett thought to be going to Southend!

Crikey, why the sudden exodus? Was a bit worried why Lawrence was moving having played so many games this season, but if its financial stuff that's reassuring.

Rumour has it he cost £50,000 and QPR fans are furious on their message boards. Harriman said he's played his best football at Wycombe and that it was a no brainer to join on a permanent deal. Don't forget this was his second loan spell with us as we had him 2 seasons ago before you had him last season. I mean no disrespect to Luton in my post by the way i'm just pleased to have signed him on a long deal that could earn us some decent money if another club comes in for him so he won't leave for a paltry transfer fee.

Depending on who you believe, we agreed to pay 2-3x that in the summer until QPR changed their minds at the last minute and demanded a lot more. Not sure why they lowered the fee so much (maybe they just don't like us!!) but fair play to you guys for capitalising on it, I'm sure you'll get that money back with plenty of profit sooner or later.

He was great at full back for us but looked even better further forward for you guys, seemed to be even quicker than last season too. Excellent signing.

I thought Cambridge didn't want to keep Gaffney :bg:

Its not that surprising that we have enough for January transfers if we need it, that's been the way now for the last two seasons - stick with the small squad Aug - Jan and then strengthen. But I think we're past the point now of spending it for spending's sake.

You tried to mug us off, Clarke doesn't like being held to ransom

Plus if it's true we could lose Taylor and lockyer plenty of interest in them apparently

Accy duo Windass and Crooks have signed pre-contracts with Rangers, so they're staying for the rest of the season.

According to one of those Twitter pages, we're looking to sign Michael Higdon from Sheff Utd. It's probably bullshit.

Sort of fits the bill. He's played games this season, it's probably about time for him to drop down a level so it is possible.

Be stupid on our front if we sold tubbs to another club in our league. Would rather pay his wage and not play him this season if that's the case. Would be dead cert to get 10-15 goals else where, He is a top goalscorer at this level in the right system (442 big man along side)
He just doesn't seem to fit what cooks style of play is about.
