It’s looking highly likely that we are signing Jay McGrath from St. Pats and Connor Carty from Bolton are signing tomorrow, the latter on loan not sure on the other one. Another X rumour is Jack Shepherd on loan from Barnsley.
From the little we've seen of him there deffo seems a player in Carty, he had a good youth career at Wolves in the EPL2 & scored a beauty of a left footed half volley on his first team debut vs Tranmere. He scored the decisive goal to send St Pat's to the final of the Irish cup & started in the final to help them lift the trophy

Rumours that Pye is out till March. We really are cursed with injuries this season.

Currently on the unavailable list is:

MSH
Knoyle
Touray
Rydel
Pye
Collar
Sarcevic
Hippolyte
Barry
Stretton

No sign of any returns before February for anyone but Knoyle and our only potential available left footed player in the squad we’re still technically waiting for international clearance on and hasn’t played for three months.

Bailey and Pond have returned to their parent clubs and Croasdale is playing through an injury and Powell is made of glass and will no doubt pick something up before our next game.

By my calculations we’re down to 14 fit outfield players with three of those teenagers who are NL/NLN standard.

This window we need:

LCB
RB/RWB
DM
CM
AM
FWD

An unverified Telegraph 'reporter' has tweeted that Luton have put in a £1.8m bid plus 15% sell-on clause for Ali Al-Hamadi.

Gutting, but Robbie Apter has gone back to Blackpool after his loan expired. He was absolutely class, and probably way too good for this division. Hope he gets a chance at Blackpool.

According to our local rag, there’s interest elsewhere in Manny Osadebe and Sam Stubbs.

Manny is useless - great lad, but useless. Stubbs is a very capable defender at this level, if you can keep him fit. For the most part, we have.

Chisom Afoka and Rayhaan Tulloch will return to their parent clubs (Villa & WBA).

Hopefully somebody is taking the piss, but we could be looking at the 4th return of Ben Gladwin. Good grief!

Not sure who would want the Oss as we called him

Reece Welch set to be recalled by Everton apparently. Done ok at times but not really ready for a tough relegation battle.

I don't know if he played a blinder against us or that's what he regularly does but he tore us apart all afternoon.

Ah I should've known he was suffering his annual winter injury around Christmas. Think this is the fourth or fifth season running for him now!

He can't stay fit at all that's why he's finished at this level in my eyes. He misses at least 15-20 games a season usually and, when he's fit, the goals and assists return from him is pretty insignificant. Clearly technically gifted but not sure he has the application to play the role he's supposedly best at playing and these fitness issues will haunt him for the rest of his playing days given they happen so regularly.
What actually is his best role then? I was assuming it's an AMC kind of role, but he's appeared out wide whenever he's played for us so far. I'm guessing that's more to do with the formation we've been using though as it's very much a 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder, two box to box types, two wide attackers and Danny Rose in the middle.

He did that in most games he played. He's going to be a massive miss.

One of our ITK forum posters is saying we're possibly bringing in a CB from Tranmere. Any ideas @TranmereFans?

Very impressed with Pye and also Horsfall at Valley Parade last week

The Luke Williams to Swansea rumours are hotting up. He's now 1/3 on Skybet.

Think we may be in the market for a up and coming player from the pie and peas league perhaps two if Charles is off
Names mentioned up here are Macaulay Langstaff...Davis Keillor-Dunne...Ali al Hamadi...And Joe Taylor

I think all four can certainly step up to league one, but can any cut it in the Championship next season

And finally will we get all four for what we could get from Charles???

Unsubstantiated rumour that we are looking at Jacob Wakeling, a forward, currently with Peterborough.
He has made 7 appearances so far this season for Posh, all of them, from what I can see, as a substitute, so not a regular.

Foolish really, you'd have thought Swansea would have learnt from FGR's mistakes.

Unreal list that.

Shows just how embarrassing it was for for Cloughie to be celebrating like he'd won the lottery on Monday. They were clinging on for a 1 0 against children at one point but because I'm classy in defeat I didn't mention it.

Seen a few rumours that Pond going back to Wolves = Lewis going back to Stockport from us.... do you think that will be the case?
I hope not, as he's done very well for us....
It wouldn't be the case for that, but given Ethan Pye is now out for over 3 months that might be the nail in the coffin. However one thing to consider is that bringing back Lewis would cost us a squad registration spot we probably wouldn't want to use on him given the injuries elsewhere and I think we would prefer to bring in a left footed centre back for when we play with a back three.

Absolute radio silence with rumours on our end, which is worrying. That injury list will cost us the top three never mind talking of the title if we can't bring in quality additions.

Good. Bring back Ian Burchnall, the true catalyst.
Yes please. I heard he's still squatting down in the technical area at Meadow Lane having a cry.

Isn't he the one who was at Swindon last season? Looked decent from what I remember.

If he doesn't get recalled, would you sell him to us in the window or is he a long-term investment? Seems odd to give him a new contract in the summer and then not fancy him even as cover.

Lewis is rated inside the club and will take a good bid to get him. We really should recall him with our injury problems.

If you want my tinfoil hat/reading between the lines on Lewis. Lewis is highly rated by our DOF/ elements of our coaching staff but not at all by Challinor. The lines coming out of the club over Lewis have been very bipolar. Chally would happily cash in on him but that won't be his decision.

He struggled to get in our squad last season when we had a crisis at the back to the point we brought in Tranmere's 6th choice centre back in Neil Byrne to provide cover for Horsfall rather than play him. Byrne subsequently got a contract extension and Lewis sent out on loan so its clear (despite some of our fans on our own message board trying to deny it until their blue in the face) Challinor doesn't rate him which is why you'll probably avoid a recall.

He didn't really show much for us but I'm glad it's working out well for him for you. Personally believe Challinor doesn't rate him because he was definitely short changed on the description of what type of defender Joe Lewis was. I distinctly remember him on signing being described as a 'pacy ball playing defender comfortable with both feet'. Maybe our scouts watched Kyle Cameron instead as definitely wasn't the Joe Lewis we saw last season or what I saw on Torquay highlight reels of him.
