He does seem to have a Dan Crowley ish profile. Technically good player who was a big prospect years ago at a Premier League club and his careers just gone everywhere and nowhere. I guess the difference is Crowley showed a bit domestically whereas Colkett never really has.
What an odd signing by Notts County. If you can get him fit(and no team has managed to do that in his career so far), then he'll be decent. But I just cannot understand why you'd take him over a number of other midfielders that were surely available that might give you a run of games.
We keep doing these sort of signings with a decent hit rate but we're not infallible. I've no reason to believe your medical set up is inferior to ours and if you can't get him fit we probably won't either. What an odd signing by Notts County. Someone's mentioned Aaron Collins to me. He'd be a better signing I reckon but surely we'd have to fork out ridiculous money for him.Marriott does not seem like the sort of striker I imagined us going for.
Think that signing puts to bed anyone thinking we’re some big spending contenders. A very bizarre one…
Cheers.I'm always a bit sceptical about players returning - too much of "they were with us on the way up in their career, now they're with us on their way down"> And/or indeed our way down...
Given Doidgy's role is getting up promoted into the EFL, there can only be good feelings towards him. And though he's had injury trouble, he's been a regular player for Hibs, and been scoring up there too., so maybe he might be what we need. Above all we need a goalscorer, and he is that.
Moomin McCann is capable and has some level of tactical intelligence, but is still a work in progress - too many cases of clumsily giving the ball away, missing passes, that sort of thing. There is a raw talent there that should come good in the right place, though, so he might turn out to be a decent addition for the Grecians. We've got far too many midfielders as things stand, so moving him on is probably a smart move for both sides.
I think I’m right in saying that his wife is from the north and there has been some difficulty with the birth of their child last year, I don’t think there’s nothing in this.It would be strange.
Rumours at or end too. He hasn’t been getting starts but unless we are bringing someone in then I find it very strange indeed.
One of several mid-range League Two signings brought in last January to keep us in the league. He was part of that but has never performed at a level anything like a side chasing promotion should be interested in, same as Tom Nichols. Offers nothing.Lapslie back to us from Gillingham? The fuck, didn’t see that coming
Send Fordey our way if you don't want him desperate for a decent wing back ours are high energy with no end product at all.Luke Bolton and Jack Marriott strongly hinted at for tomorrow. Possibly one more (Jamie Lindsay being the strongest rumours)

Marriott doesn't make sense to me really, just seems like another stop gap type signing after us missing out on bigger targets.Looks like it's Jack Marriott afterall.
Bound to do a good job at this level but with Parky's tactics? Just seems like a better Billy Waters but no doubt better than our other options to partner Mullin who either can't score or are in their 40s.
Notts signing Colckett has thrown me somewhat. Very strange signing, there is a decent player in there but he's literally made of glass. I'm not sure if he's ever put a run of more than 3 games together before getting injured in the 18 months he's been here.
From a Crewe point of view, it looks a good deal. Gets a fairly high earner, who will likely be released in the summer, off the wage bill. And hopefully frees up some budget for a few players to come in tommorow that will have more impact on the rest of this season than Colckett would have.

If he’s literally made of glass, it’s no surprise Crewe have let him go, you’ve seen right through him.Notts signing Colckett has thrown me somewhat. .
Who knows, but he quite heavily implied in his interview that he’s been fit and available but out of favour this season.
We play him behind the strikersLapslie was much better than that for Mansfield scored some great goals, last minute at Oldham, beautiful goal away to Donny in FA Cup, you lot flatter to deceive on the entirety and that includes players like him.
I dunno where we’d fit him in, always looked most dangerous behind the strikers for us, but that’s where DKD excels and I’m not sure anyone is good as him in the league in that position. Where do you play Laps?
