There are people in the know and they claim it is 15%.

So, what could we do with £15 million in extra funds assuming he sells for 100 million?

I'm sure if we wanted to we could buy a couple of the cheap tinpot clubs in this league like Barrow and Grimsby etc, flatten them and use them both as our own reserve feeder league clubs Carlisle B and Carlisle C.
You’d be the footballing equivalent to Micky Carrol the lottery winner.....ohhhhhh dear

I thought Oyegoke looked very good in the second half of the season after his long injury layoff. He looked much better in central defence than right back and I'd be happy to have him back from Brentford for another year.

Mixed feelings about Wright. I'd would prefer a more natural left wing back than a winger who can play there like he was doing.

Oyegoke had a few decent games towards the end. Still think we can do better. He was atrocious as a rwb/rb.

Yeah, we need some real quality at lwb. Position we've been weak in since Meredith. Don't particularly rate Wright.

Lot of talk from York City fans that Dipo Akinyemi is coming to Vale... sounds like he would command a decent fee and got 15 goals and 10 assists last season.

100 mil for Branthwaite is a little bit optimistic as that would make him the highest transfer fee received for a defender by about 20%. Might have to manage expectations a little.

Talk of a fee of £650k which would be our record transfer I think!

I'm glad we're taking the 'Peterborough' route of signing the best in non league rather than some of the washed up donkeys like Loft.

Seems like the owners are being true to their word of putting things right and backing the manager.

Also talk of us being in for Ronan Curtis of Wimbledon. Another one I don't know much about.
Always seems well rated, we dont have an actual proper wide man so would be decent signing.

Would beat the 500k for Ainsworth yes.

If true (and to note it is coming from the York end not Vale end) then suggests Carol is going to splash the cash (assume the Synectics £180 mil investment is complete so maybe that?) or we are cashing in on Baylee Dipepa.

Not sure whether he's technically still our player as he signed "to the end of the season" so he might be a free agent by now. We've definitely offered him a new deal but pretty sure he'll get better offers than us (and, no disrespect, Vale) and will likely end up in League One.

Oyegoke is one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Dons shirt

Akinyemi can't be worth £650k, although that would represent unreal business by York.

That Akinyimi one just screams someone on the wind-up. Won’t stop some of our fans then using it as a stick to beat the club with though when it doesn’t happen.

He's signed for us. Seems like he'll be a good addition with slight question marks over injury. He'll have cost us a bit.

What I like is the fact that he seems like a real shit who loves winding up opposition...we need some of these.

In all seriousness re Branthwaite and England, and without wanting to inflate your massive head even further, it’s something our club should be proud of.

3 of this latest England squad are products of the Carlisle academy (Branthwaite, Trafford and Henderson), that’s pretty much 10% of the squad.

But stay humble carver.

Well I'm very surprised. He's much better than this division on his day. He certainly got passion and got a bit of a reputation at Pompey of being an arse, though we didn't see that apart from taking his shirt off and getting booked every time he scored. Very good signing if he stays fit.

He was shocking when he first came to us. However, like I say, a totally different player under Alexander playing in a three at the back n the last couple of months of the season after recovering from a very bad shoulder injury

Chuffed with that, 3 year deal as well. Shows we are prepared to invest as can’t imagine he is coming for peanuts.

Good signing Roman Curtis. Decent L1 pedigree - goalscoring winger.

Wouldn’t have minded him here but we don’t play with wingers.

4.5 k to 5k a week. Amazing player who has the ability to be bang average for 90 mins then smash in a screamer of a winner

Nor do we, or at least we haven't for a long time.

He isn't really an out-and out winger. You'll just as likely find him lurking around the 6-yard box to pick up scraps, which he does very well, as linking up out wide with the full-backs.

The length of deal is probably what clinched it as he did his ACL and was out for 9 months at Pompey. They wanted to keep him but wouldn't take a risk on a long contract. Him signing for us short-term suited both as it got him back playing regularly, albeit on a reduced wage, and he made a big impact. If he gets back to his best (and he never seemed fully fit to me, even after 16 games) then he's a great signing.

Could pay for his wages if his extended family come to watch him, one of 11 siblings.
