Not sure he's a L2 starter but great attitude and physical attributes and all round top bloke, plus players usually tend to do better having escaped from our circus tent. Hope he does well for you.Matty stevens signs for us.
Rumours that you blew everybody else out of the water to get him, can you confirm?
I'm definitely delighted we've re signed him and he's exactly the sort of player we need at the back and I wouldn't mind us signing that Ben Tozer fella too.
Our top scorer. A workhorse and will run endlessly for the team. Not the sharpest finisher but who is at League Two level - wins headers and holds the ball up well, needs a second striker to feed or to feed off, he's been struggling to do it all on his own with us. But, he's decent. Not a world beater, but a reliable player and good guy. I'll be honest I hadn't heard that rumour and it surprises me. I can't see it personally but you never know. What’s Elliot Nevitt like Crewe fans? Rumour on our forum that we’re interested in signing him.
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the perfect Paul Hurst striker tbh. We’ll be playing two up top next season so he’ll be fine in that regard. Might be a load of nonsense but the lad who posted it on our forum is a well respected member and says it’s from a ‘fairly reliable source’ so we’ll see I guess. Won’t have to up and move his family might go in our favour if it’s legitimate too.Our top scorer. A workhorse and will run endlessly for the team. It's a tough one to judge. In a way, Nevitt kind of owes Crewe - he signed for us and then spent a long, long time without scoring. The fans never got on his back, never questioned it, and when he eventually scored we went ballistic for him. Genuinely never been happier to see a striker get his first goal for a club. It could have been sour, but it wasn't. We could see how hard he was working. He also seems to love playing for us, and has fondness for the club. If he does sign it won't be any hard feelings, I'd just love to see another season from him now he's been unleashed somewhat. Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the perfect Paul Hurst striker tbh. Future England Goalie- nailed on. Was a massive part of why we didn't get relegated last season - once he arrived the whole defence just gained confidence. Doesn't look 17 - big unit and not afraid of clearing people out coming for corners/crosses. Not phased at all by men's football, which is the worry at our level with youth players. Obviously a lower level, but the best young goalie i've seen at Darlo - we had Pickford and Kaspar Schmeicel on loan at roughly same age, and i'd say Young was more talented than both.
Yep, he'll be a decent partner for Lenell John-Lewis.Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the perfect Paul Hurst striker tbh. We’ll be playing two up top next season so he’ll be fine in that regard.
We had Anthony Patterson on loan from Sunderland a couple of years ago and he was outstanding. If this lad is half as good then he'll be worth signing.
Theo Vassell, out of contract at Salford, is our latest rumour. Also wanted by Mansfield and Lincoln, though, apparently.

You want to know something?
That class Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite who has been picked for England to go to the Euros played for us before he moved to Everton and we have a 15% sell on clause on him and he's worth about 80 million quid so if he gets sold to Man utd this summer for that much which looks likely, our club will pocket around £12 million which would be a record fee for any club below the Championship.
It would make us, slightly richer.
Mansfield and Lincoln? he isnt good enough for L1. I'm shocked he's managed to stick at L2 level, he was every inch the National league defender when he was with us.

Couple of things.
- He hasn’t “been picked to go to the euros”. He’s in the provisional squad so still has to make the final cut before he’s on the plane and “going to the euros”.
- We do have a sell on clause, but no where has it been confirmed what the percentage is. You’ve plucked 15% out of thin air just like you’ve plucked £80 million.
You do talk some shite.

Plus almost certainly you'd get "installments" over x amount of years, we got nearly £2 million for Jordan Hugill as a sell on but it was paid over 3-4 years. We will probably be very fortunate due to Everton needing money ASAP.
I find normally bigger clubs shaft the smaller one with the sell on clause by diluting their big sale so the instant cash isn’t as high and rest gets given later to reduce the sell on amount.
But Everton need the £100 million, probably won’t care if they lose £15 million of it in order to quickly gain £85 million.
Think if Real Madrid bid it’ll be done, doesn’t mean a penny of that cash will go either into club or team

Alexander wants Wright and Oyegoke back on loan. Both nowhere near good enough. Smacks of a shit budget and no ambition.
isport
They’ve guessed. The sell on % was undisclosed and our CEO has been asked multiple times. He’s confirmed there is one, but won’t say how much. I’m sure he’s said we get an add on when he makes his England debut as well.
