Great day for Carlisle, a signing to celebrate we beat Bradford on this day a year ago. Must be an exciting time judging by our hashtag today

Surprised Hayden has got a 2 year deal with his injury record.

I couldn’t give a fuck mate. It was a great afternoon a year ago the way it panned out in extra time and what followed. You’d have said the same had the roles been reversed.

But exciting times a year later? Na.

More the comments today from your club and even fans on our hashtag. Tbh we’ve never even mentioned a semi final playoff victory after the event, could understand if it was the final but it’s all a bit tinpot. I wouldn’t mention it but one of your fellow fans took delight in calling us obsessed which I found very ironic.

I’m sure the final will get mentioned as well whenever the 1 year to the day is. Some fans like dragging up the past. I’m not fussed really. Each to their own.

Some of your fans are obsessed though. That’s clear from social media. Ours are too clearly. But this idea that this weird social media beef thing is all one sided is simply untrue.

I have no doubt it’s mostly fans of a certain age range (on both sides).

To be fair Carver called the Hayden transfer. Hope hes over his injuries. Top player.

Speaking of injuries, didn't Sbarra have some heart issues? good player on his day though, about time he got another chance in the league.

I mean it's the second time in three years. And it'll probably be a while before you finish above us again so I am going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyway, I didn't start it. Paul Haddock mentioned us for no apparent reason. We may overpay for players-because everyone knows we've got money- but there isn't much to criticise about our recruitment apart from that.

Enjoy another summer of mad non league quality signings you all get over excited about amd I'll enjoy our over the hill ex-Prem mercenaries.
Haha fair enough, we're more than used to long time lower league also rans overtaking us though. Nothing new for us.

Not sure where this narrative about us getting overly excited about last summer has come from. It was everyone else wetting the bed about our transfer activity, we actually remained reasonably calm. The only one Town fans got really excited about was Conteh and he was one of L2's standout young players of the first half of the season and immediately got sold with a fat sell on so pretty much justified really.

Donny have signed Sbarra
If he's over his health issues that could be a decent signing, would have liked him here but I don't think he's the type of player we'd have been in for. Won't be a cheap signing that either. Donny making an early step towards the Going For It™ bracket.

Ash Taylor coming in as cover. Don't worry though, Hayden is rarely injured.

If we can get someone to take Sam Lavelle off our hands, a back 3 with Aaron Hayden and Jon Mellish either side of Ash Taylor looks realistic.

Hayden is still class when he's fit. Dominates in the air. Massive shame about his injuries of he'd still be here. Hope he does well.
Sbarra should be decent for Donny always stood out for Solihull, be interesting to see if he can make the step up

Sbarra would have been a good signing 2/3 seasons ago. Far better players than him playing in NL last season IMO.

Decent player tho, but nothing more.

Suggestions we are close ish to signing Dan Kemp. Seems to have been great at Swindon and not at MK. What sort of player is he? Diminutive i think is a reasonable statement. Plays as a 10?

Hope it stays that way, I agreed with the decision but I was disappointed to see Azza go.

Great player in there.

Yeah in all seriousness he didn’t have injury issues here and was fantastic for us at this level and knowing how good he can be is probably clouding my judgment on this one a bit. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit concerned by the issues he’s had since he left us. I’m hoping they’ve done a real thorough medical and are sure the injury is either behind him or at the very least manageable.

I'm definitely delighted we've re signed him and he's exactly the sort of player we need at the back and I wouldn't mind us signing that Ben Tozer fella too.

Byrne didn't impress at Rovers but did well enough at Pools before and Stockport afterwards, so probably a reasonable signing for Bradford.

Luke Norris has signed a 1 year deal to extend his stay on Wirral. Think we'll need a similar type striker as cover, either a punt on someone lower down the pyramid or a loan.

Depends on whether he’s got over his health issues, couple that with having better players around him, who knows?
