Jordan Gibson is a talented player for sure, and he had many good performances for us over the past few years. Even last season he produced some.

Yet probably 95% of our fan base including myself weren’t bothered in the slightest that we released him which says a lot. Releasing him was right for both parties.

If he gets his head down at Donny, concentrates on his football and gets his dad to wind his neck in, he could be a really good player for them.
Sounds a bit like Adelakun. McCann and Byrne definitely won’t put up with any crap so he will have to knuckle down.

York at it already again. Although this year's business looks a lot smarter so far. Ollie Pearce and Dipo could end up getting 40 goals easy between them, and Harrison Male is a brilliant young keeper. But Matt Uggla does enjoy spending his mum's money doesn't he

'Rough Diamonds' used to be a thing with us, but we haven't signed one since the 90's and I can't even remember his name!
Edit: Ignore me!

Sounds like we'll be making Matt Macey our first signing, a 29-year-old goalkeeper most recently with Portsmouth.

Gillingham signing Jack Nolan per Pete O'Rourke. Silly money being thrown around by them already. Adding 16 goal Nevitt and now 17 goal Nolan. If they don't get promoted with what they're putting together...

Seems a bit of a loose cannon that York owner. Only really noticed after our £1.2m bid for Dipo but in that time have seen him beefing on Twitter with Scarborough and their manager. He’ll go the way of that Notts owner where it all unravelled for him after posting a dick-pic online.

He'll do very well to unravel as spectacularly as our dick-pic ex owner. It has to go down as one of the biggest falls from grace and embarrassing episodes/seasons of NCFC or any league club.

Now we have fantastic owners it's actually great to use the former owner as a barometer and stark reminder whenever the more impatient melodramatic old cronies consider complaining or moaning about the danish brothers and their stat based approach. Which confuses and upsets the old boys so much.

There really is no response when you do. A very effective trick to silence the know it all Victor Meldrews.

Yea he's a bit of a wally. Always beefing with someone or other on the socials. He wanted Yeovil I think before York, but him and the Yeovil owner got really nasty with each other on Twitter, like offering each other out and stuff, so yea that didn't happen.

We always "swoop" for players. Like a majestic soaring eagle claiming its prize or something. Or more usually a crow arriving late to the party and picking at the scant leftovers.

Nothing confirmed yet of course, but seems a good option. Signing League Two players from Crewe and Accrington doesn't exactly make us Man City, but it's nice to see we're finally (after about a decade of gradual decline) looking to spend a few quid to get back to League One where most of us connected with our club think we ought to be. They seem like sensible signings more than anything, and address our main problem from the last 3 years. I wouldn't expect a lot more activity in this direction though, maybe a couple more first XI players and then filling out the squad, but it does seem we've learnt our lesson from last summer and are getting our main targets in early which you do tend to have to pay a little extra to do. Now it's up to the players to perform.

Silly money? He’s out of contract, do you have any exact figures for me?

We’ve signed Jordan Gibson on a free
Commiserations mate.

Him and his dad are the biggest tools going.

As soon as he has a bad patch and the fans get on his back, both Jordan and his idiot dad will be falling out with the fanbase and your manager and wont be shy about slagging you off all over social media.

I know a step family member of his, and she warned me about him when we signed him.

Trouble on the training pitch and trouble off it.

He will sure have a tasty reception from our fans if he plays against us next season.

One of the least likeable lads ever to wear our shirt.

He is not a bad player to be fair, but him and his dad think he is as good as Georgie Best

His dad only 2 weeks ago was spouting online that his lad wouldn't be playing league 2 football next season as he was in talks with an Australian club and Livingstone, lo and behold look where he ends up.

Your club certainly haven't done their homework on character reference on the lad that's for sure.

Apparently we’ve been talking to him for sometime. We have form with this type of player, Wilks and Adelukan both played well under McCann so I’m confident we’ve gone into this with our eyes open.

That uggla bloke seems a bit of a charlatan from the outside and I wonder if it might eventually go pop with him ,he's effectively told fans that Hunt to them from us is '100% done ' on twitter . Seems a strange method of announcing transfers before they are even finalised - i mean it probably annoys owners that he's making unnoficial announcements before the clubs ; it's almost fan like , giddy and unprofessional - I can't imagine he's making many friends in the game so far over there .

I didn't read through , before posting but that's what I'm thinking he seems a bit daft - is it just a case of him having some pocket money for a club from rich family or something ?

He's a tidy player Nolan ,weirdly reminds me a bit of Jonny Williams in technique but with more output maybe
