Nicholls is a fringe player for you now isn't he? Be interesting to see if he plays tonight.

Yeah was brought in to help us get over the line last season, and did it perfectly scoring and assisting some very important goals.

No Nichols or Swan in the squad tonight, Nichols was left out Saturday because he is likely to move on loan, Swan may just be a injury probably not know until after the game.

Just looked we do still have 3 more loans available to us so we shall see.Our regular in the know guy is pretty certain we were in for Swan a few weeks ago but you turned us down.

Clough said both Nichols and Swan may be off, both got plenty of L2 interest.

Yeah we’ve turned down a few for Swan, as we’ve proved with DKD unless our high valuation is met on players we won’t let them go.

We’re supposedly bringing in that much needed, allusive, defensive midfielder tomorrow/Friday. The only competition Smallwood has had since he arrived.

We’ve wanted him all summer, by all accounts. Having his medical tomorrow.

Only name mentioned is the lad at Wigan (Joe Adams), but I don’t think it’ll be him.

Bradford City are delighted to announce the signing of defensive midfielder Yann Songo'o. He rejoins The Bantams on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee.

It seems the ITK’s can’t decide on whether it’s a loan or a permanent, but Will Swan is the latest linked with us.

You are definitely in for him.

I reckon the club probably don’t wanna sell permanently but have to consider it if the offer is too good.

The fundamental question is Will we be able to Swan in and grab him last minute?

We’ve signed another defender, Lucas Ness.

A little bit surprising given Macari, Platt and Bedeau seems a pretty settled unit, but seems a decent move.

Ness was really good when he first started playing for us but got injured and wasn't the same again. Hopefully works out for him as there's a lot of potential there

So traumatised by last season that we have to sign every centre back available.

I think it’s possible we see Macari’s future at right back/wing back, he’s quite short for a centre back and was outstanding going forward from right back on Sunday. Not the position we most needed necessarily but good League One experience and still young, looks a decent signing on the face of it.

As someone who played a lot of Super Smash Bros as a teenager, I'm delighted.

Not sure it is necessary but "too good to turn down, doesn't affect our other plans" sounds good to me.

Is there anything more from the Bradford end on Gilliead?

There’s been absolute no talk of his name at our side, but Simpson has said yesterday in his presser that we’re getting close to signing a midfielder on a permanent deal.

We're signing Sam Stubbs from Bradford on loan.

Other than the fact he's Alan's son - can't say I know a thing about him.

Good signing for Cheltenham. He's our best centre half but Alexander never rated him which leaves our CB options looking less than inspiring.

He's slow but dominant aerially and a good leader.

I'm hoping he'll come in and replace Scot Bennett, allowing Bennett to move forward as a cdm. Sounds promising at least.

He’s steady away, but this is another opportunity to slate the club and manager, so the general review you’ll hear is that Stubbs is a world beater and we’re stupid to let him go [even though he’s barely kicked a ball for us since Feb - but shhh].

Signed Joe Adams from Wigan Athletic. We’ve monitored/wanted him all summer apparently, so the club seem to be ecstatic with this one.

Do the club not usually sign players they want? Could explain recent fortunes if so

Stubbs is incredibly slow but his reading of the game is much better than League Two. He's easily our best centre back but hey ho.

I was highlighting the fact that we’ve had to wait weeks for him. He was scheduled to join our Austria tour, but Wigan pulled back on the offer due to impressing in pre-season.

Not sure how anyone comes to this judgement. You could be right, but you’re effectively writing off all our current defenders, even though you haven’t seen 2 of them play and the other 2 have only played 180 minutes.

I’m all for opinions but utter codswallop needs calling out.
