I mean I wouldn’t be totally against him coming to Notts but 300 grand sounds a tad excessive.

Don't think we'd get anywhere near 300k. Be surprised if it's over 100k tbh. I'll just be glad when it's all over. But yeah, disappointing not to have him feature, especially since he was being hyped up to be like 'a new signing'.

Yeah, £300k was probably his January valuation in fairness.

But if it's under six figures I'd be pointing serious fingers at our recruitment team.

Watched a 10 minute YouTube video and he just looks like a better version of Cedwyn Scott, which I’m not sure is what we’re crying out for
The club do really seem to like Cedwyn, but I agree. I wouldn't be after Jake Young personally but the recruitment team have enough of a track record that I won't disagree with them if they go for it. I just hope they're not desperate to get anyone in because they feel they have to, doesn't tend to end well

I hope it's not Carlisle. Can't be arsed with the all the twITTer BantA innit.

I'm sure I heard a snippet listening to Radio Cumbria in the car that they were hoping to sign someone on a permanent deal.

Think that ship has sailed. We were obviously keen in January but we’ve got other positions that we need to concentrate on at the moment. And our fans (even the weirdos on Twitter) are in no position to be giving out any bantA at the moment especially with the away trip coming up in a couple of weeks.

Aye, £300k valuation in Jan when he was crippled!

Looooooool!

That being said, it was reported that we were asking silly money (according to Carlisle) not too long ago. Not a lots changed. Anyone quoting five-figures is deluded.

Anyone who chooses to pull the club apart (LS Bantam) given half the chance should know this move is motivated by Young.

Inabit Jake, you’ve been a right laugh!

I do think in the lower divisions about 20% of transfers are ego moves from owners who see another club with a bit of money get a new toy and then we have a pointless arms race where everyone’s got 5 strikers.

Worst part of course is you do it to get to League 1 and then spend 2 years trying to offload them all again

It’s more the managers pushing it not the owners.

You lot didn’t seem willing to get close to Will Swan valuation.

He’s good enough to score goals at L1 for me, the only problem is we only seem to get half a season out of him, if you get a full one he should get 20 goals.

Last season he spent the first half of the season with a few injuries and confidence issues but once he got going in the second half he scored 10 goals.

Makes sense for us to sell him at price because he is third choice striker at the minute.

Nice, sounds like a very good signing then. We need another goal scorer to complement Hendry and Harrison who will get about 20 between them probably. Matt Dennis has potential but with Swan likely incoming I doubt he will get a sniff.

Id have liked Swan but it wouldn’t have made sense for us, we’ve got Jatta so spending a large part of our budget on another striker just wouldn’t be the way to maximise our spend.

We’re crying out for a quick player that can play across the front 3. We’ve got central strikers who can hold the ball up and finish, we’ve got creative central players, but Jones is our only attacking option that runs at players and in behind.

Was going to say I’m surprised a club whose owner is in the chokey can afford 200 grand, but I’ve read it’s now his son in charge so that’s ok then.

We’ve spoken to Sheyi Ojo & currently got Mo Eisa training with us. Also linked with the Oldham GK - Hudson.

Expecting a couple in this week that’s for sure.

They’ll have got a bit from us for Stockley too.

Mo Eisa, ha, how the mighty have fallen. He wasn't interested when we got relegated to league 2, couldn't wait to fuck off. Now he hasn't got a club. I think Im right in saying he was our most expensive buy when we got him as well. :hb:

Sheyi Ojo is one of our ex academy talents too. Didn’t we sell him to Liverpool at like 14 for about £2m or something silly?

Notts going all in with the ex MK Dons players clearly, with Chicksen and Grant also on the books.

Still our record sale is Mo - cool £1m from Bristol City, then a but more when he went to Peterborough.

Seems to have gone to shit in the last 18 months though.

Don’t know where either of those rumours have come from but I’d take both Ojo and Eisa - we need a bit of ‘upside’ in the squad and wouldn’t be relying on whoever we bring in.

Eisa from the bits I've seen would be a great addition for us if he's got a good attitude.

Eisa was poor on loan for us last season. Scored on his full debut but did little else and barely looked arsed.

Spent the last few weeks saying our signings are waiting approval from other clubs, so 2 free agents doesn’t fit that description anyway

My favourite rumour I’ve heard out of nowhere is Zakaria Eddahchouri from the Dutch 2nd Division.
