Carlisle United
Carlisle have sold 1,137 tickets for our clash at VP in a couple of weeks.

Just another 1,600 to go.

No chance we sell the rest the way the team is playing. Even among the people I know there are quite a few who were going but have knocked it on the head after the way the first 2 aways have panned out.

Our main ITK saying Jayden Luker is signing for us, presumably on loan.

Looks like we're sending Noah Mawene on loan to Newport. Tidy midfielder. Good move for him.

There's talk that Layton Stewart might also be going on loan to Carlisle.

Newcastle goalkeeper Max Thompson being linked with us after we missed out on getting Harry Tyrer back from Everton.

Was on loan at Northampton last year, don’t know anything about him, but is definitely needed as we currently only have one senior keeper on the books in Boot, & one first year pro who’s nowhere near ready.

Signing George Abbott on loan from Spurs apparently. 19 year old central midfielder.

What’s Stewart like? Any good?

Haven't seen much of him. Don't think he'll make it in the Championship but seems a hard worker with a bit of pace. Hasn't scored for us but was supposedly a good finisher for Liverpool U21s.

Their under 21s captain last season. The usual ‘he can’t be dropping to League Two’ and ‘far too good for that level’ from Spurs fans. Probably end up making three appearances, all in the stupid trophy thing.

I think you can get emergency loan keepers in if your backup is inexperienced enough, whether it's the way you want to plan is a different question obviously but it does mean it's not an absolute necessity to get one in before the end of the window

It worked so well with the lad from Wolves last year... Fair enough if he's definitely better than someone like Hinchy but it's not really the area I think we need cover in

Yeah I have seen that, but I think Cook wants 2 to actually compete with eachother though, similar to what we had last year

Whispers of Dejaune Brown again…

Sure he will have plenty of suitors today/tomorrow though. I know my Twitter has been full of Notts fans clamouring for him for weeks so I’m sure they’ll be in for him too

I think we were definitely interested earlier in the summer, but I’m pretty sure Derby will want him somewhere he’s going to be starting regularly and it’s hard to see how that’s going to happen here now with how Jatta has been playing.

Well we’ve got Grigg & Madden once he’s back from injury, so if we sign him he’s definitely not ‘guaranteed’ to be starting regularly here, and will be more of a ‘different option’ for us I’d imagine if we were to sign him.

We’re after another player (loan). Whoever it is, he played on Tuesday night. GA spoke to him quite late on.

Sounds like the parent club have been knocked out. Late on = they played away.

Possibly Huddersfield?

All this is dependant on someone leaving, though.

Mawene confirmed season long loan, now waiting to see if the Jamie Miley from Newcastle rumour comes to fruition.

I was impressed with that Jatta against us - is it fair to say he's a better all round striker than Langstaff ? He gives you a nice aerial option too , second half u played a couple of longer balls and he held it up really well.

One of the soundbites from last night's Fans Forum was that we won;t pay over the odds for players despite the new ownership, so that would likely be a reason you won't see much movement from us for Swan and Crowley.

We have now been linked with Ken Aboh and Kane Thompson-Sommers today though, and I know nothing about them.

He’s really raw, but he’s got a lot more potential to develop his all-round game than Langstaff definitely. Seems to have the same knack of sniffing out tap-ins in the box, so if we can tidy him up around the edges I think he could go for a lot of money in a year or two. He’s bloody quick for a guy so tall as well.

I remember Wrexham’s owners saying similar when they took them over too, that lasted long…..

I'm not sure they ever said that?

We've always had to pay a Wrexham Tax. Comes with all the fanfare.
It was something along the lines of they were going to invest more in infrastructure and not be going silly on wages and fees when they first took over.

Carlisle/Fleetwood/Vale fans. Is Danny Butterworth absolutely pony?

Did ok for us at times. One of those players that you’re never quite sure what his best position is though. Far from the best and far from the worst is what I’d say.
