Good signing for Cheltenham. He's our best centre half but Alexander never rated him which leaves our CB options looking less than inspiring.

He's slow but dominant aerially and a good leader.
He was shocking last season, so not sure why you rate him our best centre half. The club cocked up allowing the trigger to extend his contract in his favour, otherwise he would have been released in the summer.

He looks and plays like somebody 15 years older than he actually is.

Good luck to him at Cheltenham though.

Firthy in disagreeing with the majority shocker… Good signing for Cheltenham, agreed that ability wise he’s probably our best defender the flip side he is hilariously slow almost as if he’s permanently in quick sand.
Signed with glowing reports stats wise from Exeter but I was never massively sold, he never lived up to that hype that he was something like statistically the best defender in the league or something at some point the season Exeter went up, again it comes down to how slow he is as it just undermines his good qualities.
Worth mentioning he missed out at the end of last season with a fractured skull rather than on form.

He was no worse than anyone else in the first half of last season, he just never got a chance to make up for it like others did.

Just realised that if MK Dons do sign Crowley we’re gonna have to play twice more against the fucker, that’s not very fair.
I wouldn’t worry about that, it sounds like the owners have pulled the plug on two deals judging by one of the ITK’s on our forum, or we’ve just let them fall through without a follow up.

If him or Jones went to an actual league 2 club like you or a spiritual league 2 club like Mansfield my season ticket is getting ritually burnt like the Nazis in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Pete O'Rourke says we have signed Will Swan.

GA has said that we’ve accepted a bid for Jake Young from a L2 club.

No doubt it’ll be nothing more than a couple of pints and a curry knowing our lot!

Depends on the fee I’d guess, you’d assume there’s only a handful of potential landing spots. MK Dons signing him and Swan would obviously be funny.

Notts feels very plausible, we’ll be signing a striker and I think we’d be happy to put a bit of the Langstaff money into it, but with Jatta doing so well whoever comes in will need to wait their turn. If he can play out wide as well then it feels more likely.

We tried to sign him last Winter and bid a decent fee but he was holding out for a Championship move allegedly from what Flickers seemed to indicate, could go back in but would imagine unlikely with the strikers we have unless we looked to get Dipepa out on loan.

I doubt it’s us given the Swan news but the new owners might want to flex their financial muscles

Do they know you can only put 11 players on the pitch at a time?

Possibly not.

Though I would expect 2 or 3 to exit before the transfer window closes too. We’ve also loaned out 2-3 of our youngest contracted players from the academy so we aren’t quite at the squad of 40 level yet.

We’ve also got several injuries already…

He’s good enough to score goals at L1 for me, the only problem is we only seem to get half a season out of him, if you get a full one he should get 20 goals.

Last season he spent the first half of the season with a few injuries and confidence issues but once he got going in the second half he scored 10 goals.

Makes sense for us to sell him at price because he is third choice striker at the minute.

Watched a 10 minute YouTube video and he just looks like a better version of Cedwyn Scott, which I’m not sure is what we’re crying out for

That's the only thing with the transfer I'm bothered about.

It's a shame we've not been able to integrate Young (vSwindon) into the team but take that 4 month loan spell away and he's barely shown anything otherwise bar a couple of goals in the JPT and one or two long range strikes for us. I think his all round game is pretty lacking tbh. I'm not sure he's this super striker and if someone does want to part with £300k for him then see you later Jake.

If said club get the best out of him then hey ho, put it down to experience but we signed him for a nominal fee and will seemingly make cash off him for very little development.

Don't think we'd get anywhere near 300k. Be surprised if it's over 100k tbh. I'll just be glad when it's all over. But yeah, disappointing not to have him feature, especially since he was being hyped up to be like 'a new signing'.
