Signed Rico Richard’s on loan from Villa. No idea.

Vale say he’s an attacking midfielder but we’ve already got a plethora of them so not sure the need on this one.

Brown has the potential to be an unreal signing imo. Didn't he hit a woman who was being racist to him or something? Not ideal but I wouldn't rake him over the coals for that. Hardly Lee Hughes levels of evil c***. I wouldn't like to judge anyway after we signed Ched Evans

Our recruitment team right now to one another - “Wait, what?? I thought YOU were the one supposed to be sorting out a central midfielder”.

Now loaned Funso Ojo to Shrewsbury for the season. Felt this was on the cards. Depending what version of him they get will depend if it’s a good move for Shrews. Early last season version it’s a good signing, the one who gets a serious case of pouty face when the going gets tough less so. Either way hopefully not the last of the outgoings.

No begging for players on deadline day for us pretty pleased with our signings in the last week Reyes Cleary from West Brom Nathan Lowe from Stoke(Scored 2 on his debut Tuesday night looks a player) and George Hall today who blues fans say is far too good for League 2 I'm a bit more optimistic about our chances than I was a few weeks ago.
All of these players have been targets for weeks as well we were just waiting on there clubs to allow them to go which is better than the scattergun approach to recruitment some clubs have(and we have in past windows)

We’ve signed Obikwu back in loan from Coventry and in full on loan deal bingo ‘he turned down 4 League 1 clubs to sign for us’ apparently.

Oh, and he’s injured as well. :eye:

He looked good with Arblaster and Devine alongside him but so would you or I, not sure a likely relegation battle will suit him though.

Lee Hughes was absolutely magic for us in our promotion season in 2013. He was getting on in years but his finishing was unbelievable...some of the best I've seen. A proper instinctive player. He was loved by us...he made an horrendous error of judgement, something which he deservedly served prison time for but he has massively regretted his actions and served his time.

Yeah that’s the key point. He’s one of the last type of characters I’d want in a dogfight which they are most likely to be in. Just hope they’re paying most/all his wages as think he was on a decent sum.

Regretted it so much he ran down the touch line pretending to be driving a car after scoring! Absolute scum imo

Toodle-pip!

Face like a slapped ass in every video the club put out!

Someone else’s problem now.

Unconfirmed 6-figures+

Nothing we don’t already know.

Decent for Exeter but he's been gash everywhere else. Think his personal problems have got in the way tbh.

We’ve made a bit of a thing of picking up players whose careers have gone off the rails in the last couple of years. Has worked a treat with Crowley, Jones and Bostock, less successful with a couple of others. This is the first one where it’s been off the field stuff rather than injuries or just letting their career drift, mind.

If it’s the game against us you’re on about I’m 99% sure it wasn’t a driving thing he was doing.

I quite understand people being upset by Hughes continuing to play football after what he did, but I promise if he played for your team you’d have loved him.

We can't really tell you anything about him other than being a RB.

We're pretty sure he's out of contract in the summer, we signed him two years ago from Halifax as a bit of a punt and he's never been close to the first team with most of his time here out on loan in the League of Ireland and the National League. I'm not even sure he's managed 5 appearances for us.

EDIT - Just seen on our press release he's made 4 appearances for us.

We’ve done our ‘business done’ statement, so Crowley stays. We’ve had a good window I reckon, kept two of our three main men and our squad looks really deep.

We needed a striker, we've got one. Hopefully he'll knuckle down and make the best of his opportunity. If not we'll get rid, the Reedtz brothers haven't ever looked like they'll suffer fools.

I'd have liked a keeper but apart from that we really should be getting close with that squad.

Seems a strange signing tbh. We've got Halliday and Johnson, two of the best right-backs in the league.

Fred West made some mistakes in his time, but he laid a lovely patio.

Football fans are fickle really, when we played County we gave Hughes all sorts of abuse like most fans did, 2 years later the same fans are doing the “Hughsey” with him in Burslem town centre after promotion. (Oddly randomly turned up to the Box Park fan zone at Wembley in his Vale top and started doing it at the POF couple years back).

He rolls up at any club and fires in the goals to get them promoted the fans soon accept him.

He conducted himself well at Vale so could only really take him as I saw him I guess.

Anthony Scully has signed for Colchester on a season long loan. Big job keeping him fit given that he's hardly played for two years, but that's quite an eye-catching signing for L2. He was a 1 in 3 player for us in L1 from the left of a front three.

Also loaned another striker Antwoine Hackford from Sheffield United, probably means we will look to loan Dipepa out to get experience.

If he is remotely as good as our last loan from the Blades il be happy!
