Looks us done, 16 incomings and a squad that’s huge but probably the best transfer window (on paper) that we’ve had since the 90’s halcyon days,

No excuses with the squad depth we have and backing for Moore not to be up there this season but as a Vale fan we are well tuned not to take anything for granted on that!

If Colchester don’t do well this season, how many more millions of debt will that be? If even if they do well tbh.

In the last 2 days Fleetwood have signed up season long loan deals with...
Rhys Bennett, young central defender from Manchester United. I saw him play in the FA Youth Cup Final at Old Trafford 2 years ago. Nothing glamorous just strong in defense
And....Kian Harrat from Huddersfield Town, forward with good scoring record
The Chairman is clearly backing Charlie Adam, there is now real competition all over the pitch, however unless you can put the ball in the back of the net in it means b...all !

Colchester really are just getting the Lincoln band back together aren't they.

When's Matt Rhead coming out?
Definitely a few ex-Imps there now - Cowley's, Anderson, Payne, Bishop, Woodyard, Hopper, Scully and last season Akinde as well.

Only Anderson, Payne and Woodyard were here under Cowley, though - and Payne only played under him for a couple of months before he took the Huddersfield job (ironically Payne had been released by Huddersfield that summer).

Toodle-pip!

Face like a slapped ass in every video the club put out!

Someone else’s problem now.

Unconfirmed 6-figures+

Nothing we don’t already know.
To be fair to the lad you can’t stand in his way when a bigger club comes calling for him like that.

Weird, turned a new contract down with us only to end up back in Lesgue 2
A massive jump up for him though as he is now at Premier League sleeping giants Carlisle Utd, although instead of sleeping at the minute they are currently comatose.

We needed a striker, we've got one. Hopefully he'll knuckle down and make the best of his opportunity. If not we'll get rid, the Reedtz brothers haven't ever looked like they'll suffer fools.
My guess is he will slot into the left sided 10 position that Grant or Ceds has been playing in

Seen that Bromley have loaned in Josh Thomas from Swansea. We had him last season and I thought he was a really promising player, lots of pace. Just unfortunately we had a manager who didn’t have the first bloody clue how to use him. Think he’ll do well there, be a great option alongside Cheek.

Rhys Bennett made one start for us and was terrible. Cost us about 3 of the 4 goals in a 4-0 defeat at Tranmere. Anything but solid in defence. I don't think we ever lost by more than one goal in any other game for the last 2 years bar that game.

Rico Richards was quite a bright player, good techincal player, quite a typical PL young player. Did seem to lack the pace and physical attributes to be really effective. But he could develop into a good player, I reckon.

A lot of our fans unfavourably compared him to Louie Barry because we signed Richards from Villa, when Barry was injured and the word was he was a replacement for Barry whilst he was injured. That was very hard to live up to and probably didn't help him.

Two loan signings in for us on deadline day:

Lewis Shipley - a defender from Norwich
Manni Norkett - a forward from Nottingham Forest

I know less than nothing about either of them.

Going out, 3rd choice keeper Max Harris has gone to Weston again and it looks like Tom Bradbury to Yeovil could be an after deadline loan deal.

My take on Jevani Brown is that he was one of the best players I’ve seen in my time supporting Exeter for the past 35 years.

He scored something like 15 goals in L1 up to January of the 22/23 season, and then the incident happened which fucked things.

I really felt he’d do well at Bristol Rovers, particularly when Matt Taylor got the job as he thrived under him at Exeter, but something must have gone down behind the scenes for him to be frozen out.

If Notts can play him to his strengths and he knuckles down, he could be the signing of the window but that is a big IF. Hope he does well.

A good window for vale I think..
Shifting the 5k a week Ojo off the books with his shocking attitude is a great bit of business.
Selling Dipepa whilst his stock is high makes sense and will fund this season and maybe next depending on how much it is.

Yeah shame we don’t know the fee as rumours we set a £3 million tag on Dipepa in the summer all be it would be surprised if it’s even close to that.

Southampton do well developing youngsters so hopefully benefits us with a big sell on in the future.

In fairness selling Dipepa and with knowing we will certainly be getting a moderate sell on fee with Ndala going to PSV for a few million post his loan spell there we’ve more than offset any spending this summer by quite some bit so we’ve signed an expensive squad on paper but still made a decent profit with likely bigger to come if Dipepa goes for big money in 4-5 years time.

Off the pitch it all looks great, the window looks great just need it to come together now on the pitch which is the harder bit.

I’m sure we’d have asked for £3m but realistically it won’t be that unless there’s certain add-ons up to that amount. Southampton is a good club for him to go to and to be honest here it’s a tough ask for him to get a gig up top right now when competing with Paton, Tolaj and Stockley.

Could have done with a couple more of the bums being sent away (looking at you Dan Jones). Guess maybe the likes of Shorrock will be out on loan to the Conference or one of the regional leagues in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah he said Shorrock, Buah etc would be looking at going out to the National League to get experience so when you take that into account, Mitch being out for months the squad looks more level numbers wise.

I’d imagine if Dipepa was over £2 million the club would have mentioned a record fee so I would think maybe £1.5 initially or something like that with multiple clauses.

Great move for him to develop further and hopefully he can push through and reach the top.

Salford can **** off signing Adelakun, why has he joined them little non-league tinpot plastic minnows who have only 5 fans?

What a waste of time and money they've been.

Well I guess the good news is he can't get much worse...that may well come back and bite in the derriere !

A lot of pissing and moaning on our main site about You g leaving, had it not been for a spell at another club no one would give a shit. Good riddance, let him go play with his little mate.

Made a good profit on him without him doing anything for us, hope he does well though as I believe we have a sell on. So do something useful for us Jakey and keep bringing us in money.

….anything that allows certain fans to question the way the club is run, whether it be the right decision or not, they will cease any opportunity.

That’s basically it!

We’ve robbed Stevenage and gotten rid of what seems to be a bad apple from the squad.

I got the impression that he had a good start but actually towards the end he was kinda reverting to the Adelekun that we saw?

Either way, he obviously expected something to crop because you don't have the back end of the season he had, play in a couple of PFA arranged games and then end up on a one-year deal at Salford do you!

Certainly seemed to run out of steam and plenty questioned if he’d been tapped up

Sounds like we had a club record bid rejected for Dan Crowley some point this week.
What is your club record fee? I'm pretty sure ours is still the £250k fee we paid for Jason Lee who turned out to be absolutely useless.
