If thats the ex Plymouth player thats a good signing. Has he been injured or just not good enough for league 1?
That's the fellow, I don't know why he's not getting games for Dale though.

We've got a load of strikers but the issue is not that they're crap (or at least that's only part of the issue), it's that they don't get any service and we leak goals like a broken sieve. I'd prefer to see an experienced centre back and midfielder right now.

Not a transfer but we've signed James Pearson (Thai sex freak) onto an extended contract for a year with an option for another, which is absolutely fantastic news as he's Ben nothing but superb for us since joining.

All three players have done well out of it then. Smith is one of the best keepers in the league, Hopper playing in the league above and Pearson doing well for your lot

He always struck me as a dominant league 1 centre back. He's the type of signing that will mean you're guaranteed to stay up.

Reminds me of when we were struggling and signed Clarke Carlisle. Type of player that drags others up by their bootlaces.

We've signed Andrew Boyce on loan from Scunthorpe because our Jamie doesn't think his 40 man squad has enough competition in it.

We have re-signed Tommy O'Sullivan from Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season. Happy with this - been crying out for somebody else in the middle and he did well when he was with us earlier in the season.

We've signed David Gregory on loan from Crystal Palace as our reserve keeper Charlie Grainger is out probably for the season now. Of course this should have happened over Christmas with Grainger being packed off to Braintree or Welling or something on loan, but I digress.

York are set to sign Scot Bennett on loan from us, meaning that we recalled him from Newport just to play him out of position a couple of times then forget about him again. They also had a bid rejected for Aborah, which is just bizarre.

I thought Boyce would end up being an ok L2 defender.

Boyce played alongside Waterfall at Trinity and were highly regarded but when Swann took over Scunthorpe, he opted to sign Waterfall instead of Boyce, which was a bizarre decision because you could quite easily see Boyce was the better of the two. He eventually sorted that out and allegedly paid us £40k for Boyce and we ended up getting Waterfall on a free last summer from Wrexham, although he's not in the squads at the minute.

He'll certainly be better in L2 than Newton was in L1!

He played a big part in our start to the season, very classy. Went off the boil a bit then went totally out of favour after the cup defeat at Stevenage. Great on the ball, pretty non-existant off it. Should do fine for you.

Haven't seen much Conference football but at football league level, he's too cumbersome, slow and was frequently pulled out of position. Was pretty pleased when his loan spell was cut short.

Same here when he first signed but he seemed to get used to the level he was at (came from Conference North to us). I thought he'd probably do the same in L2 but I'm not sure he's has much of a run in any team in L2 really.

Thank fuck he didn't for us or we'd be where Dagenham are now

I'm not saying this because it's you lot but he really is a terrible, terrible footballer. In fact i'm not sure he even is a footballer.

Mani is truly awful. Saying that, I hope the lad does well as he seems a likeable guy. Good luck to him

Peter Ramage signs on loan for a month from Coventry, on the fence with this one if I'm honest. Very injury prone.

Morecambe have signed Cole Stockton on a month's loan from Rovers.
Not the most energetic of players and doesn't function well as a target man or with his back to goal. With those caveats, he could do quite well.
